GarveeHome Solid Rug Tan 5x7 Area Rug, Washable Low-Pile Polyester

Give a living room, entryway or patio a defined place to gather with the GarveeHome Solid Rug Tan 5x7. Its polyester surface brings a jute-inspired look to a rectangular, low-pile rug that’s made for indoor or outdoor use. Need a natural-style finish without natural-jute care? This machine-washable design makes routine clean-up more straightforward.

What to know

Sized 5' x 7', this area rug suits larger seating areas, dining spaces or open entryways where a smaller accent rug may not anchor the layout. The tan colour and understated, rustic-inspired appearance work with modern farmhouse and contemporary decor, while the low pile keeps the surface simple to vacuum and easy to move across. It’s made from polyester, not real jute, so you get the familiar woven-fibre look in a washable format.

A non-slip backing helps the rug stay in place on a clean, dry floor. The lightweight construction is practical when it’s time to lift the rug for cleaning or reposition it between rooms. It’s designed for both indoor and outdoor settings, giving you flexibility to use it in a living room, kitchen, hallway or patio. Buyers often appreciate its appearance and ease of cleaning, some also report that the colour looks different or changes over time, so the tan finish is worth considering alongside your space and decor.

How to look after it

For everyday upkeep, vacuum or sweep away dust and debris, a robot cleaner or a wipe can also help with routine maintenance. For a deeper clean, the rug is machine washable. Use cold water on a gentle cycle and let it air dry naturally. Hand washing and gentle soap are also listed care options. If cleaning it outdoors, hose it down and allow it to dry before placing it back on a floor. Keeping the backing and floor clean and dry supports the non-slip design.

Getting the most from it

Use the 5' x 7' size to define a seating or dining zone, or place it in a high-traffic area where washable care is useful. In a living room, it can bring furniture together visually, in an entryway or kitchen, the low pile gives you a practical surface for everyday foot traffic. On a patio, its indoor-outdoor design offers a way to carry the same neutral look beyond the home’s interior.

If you’re choosing between genuine jute and a jute-look rug, the key difference here is the material and care routine: this rug is polyester and machine washable, while still offering a rustic, natural-fibre-inspired appearance. Its lightweight feel can also be useful when you want to move a rug between spaces for cleaning or a change in layout.

What to clarify

Is this rug made from real jute? No. It’s made from polyester and designed to capture the look of jute fibres, so its material and washable care make it a different choice from a natural-jute rug.

Can it be used outdoors as well as indoors? Yes. It’s specified for both indoor and outdoor use, including spaces such as a patio, as well as living rooms, kitchens and hallways.

How should it be washed? Machine wash it in cold water on a gentle cycle, then air dry. Vacuuming, wiping and hand washing are also listed care methods.

When it makes sense

Choose this GarveeHome rug when you want a 5' x 7' tan area rug with a low-pile feel, a jute-inspired style and washable polyester construction. Its indoor-outdoor versatility and non-slip backing make it a practical fit for busy living spaces, entryways and patios where easy routine care matters.
