Tips for day-to-day use

For outdoor solar charging, place the chime where its solar panel receives direct sunlight and leave the switch in the ON position. It charges during the day and is designed to light automatically at night. The product description gives a possible lighting duration of 8–10 hours after a full charge.

The IP55 rating and rain-resistant design support outdoor placement, while indoor hanging gives you another way to display it. Choose a spot where the tubes can move freely in a breeze, you can also move them gently by hand to hear their sound. A small hanging tag below the chime can be used to write a personal message, making it a thoughtful option for birthdays and holidays.

How to use it

Hang the chime in your chosen spot, set the switch to ON, and position it in direct sunlight for charging. Once night falls, the lights are designed to turn on automatically and shift through colours. In daytime, moving air sets the tubes in motion and produces their chime sound, a gentle touch can move them when there is no breeze.

For a practical placement, consider a porch or patio where both the sound and evening glow can be enjoyed, or hang it by a window as a decorative light. The solar-powered format means its lighting display is tied to sunlight exposure, so a sunny outdoor position is useful for its intended charging routine.

Is it worth it?

This chime is a fitting choice if you want more than a sound-only decoration: it pairs moving tubes with colour-changing solar lights and automatic night-time illumination. It can also serve as a gift, with a writable tag for a personal greeting. Buyer feedback often appreciates its appearance, vivid colours and relaxing effect, while experiences with reliability and battery runtime are mixed. Consider it for decorative lighting and gentle chime sounds in an outdoor or indoor hanging spot.
