Colwelt C068 Lawn Levelling Rake, 17 x 10 in Plate, Adjustable Handle

The 17 x 10 in levelling plate gives you a more focused way to spread soil across uneven lawn areas, helping smooth low spots and surface irregularities. The Colwelt C068 pairs this narrower head with an adjustable handle and a curved end grip, so you can set up the tool for your lawn and work with a more natural wrist position.

Use it during lawn renovation, after aeration or to even out areas affected by soil settling. Its steel construction and powder-coated finish are suited to regular yard tasks, while the removable handle makes its length adjustable for different levelling needs.

Technical overview

The plate is designed to move soil across the lawn rather than gather leaves like a general-purpose rake. Its 17 x 10 in footprint is useful for focused work in smaller or tighter areas, and the curved grip helps reduce the need to bend forward while levelling.

• Type: Lawn levelling rake
• Head size: 17 x 10 in
• Head material: Alloy steel
• Handle: Adjustable, removable, with curved end grip
• Handle material: Metal
• Colour: Black and yellow

The steel construction supports tasks such as smoothing uneven ground, repairing low spots and preparing a level surface before laying sod or installing garden beds. When choosing between a broad rake for clearing debris and a dedicated lawn leveller, the plate design here is intended for redistributing soil across the lawn surface.

Usage tips

For an easier pass across the grass, cut it to 1.5 in or less before levelling. Adjust the handle to suit the area and your working position, then guide the plate over the soil to spread material into dips and smooth raised patches. Need to work around a compact section or a low spot? The narrower head is designed to provide more focused control than a wider levelling plate.

The rake can also be used after aeration, soil settling or lawn renovation, and to address ruts and tracks. For garden projects, use it to prepare an even surface before laying sod or setting up a garden bed. Buyers describe assembly and day-to-day use as straightforward, and some also highlight the rake’s sturdy feel and durability.

Should you buy it?

A solid pick if you want a dedicated tool for evening out soil rather than a rake focused on leaves or debris. The adjustable curved-grip handle supports a more comfortable working position, and the 17 x 10 in plate gives you a practical format for targeted lawn repairs, renovation and surface preparation. Choose the Colwelt C068 when those focused levelling tasks are the priority in your yard.
