Casoter swivel caster 5-inch

The dual-locking brakes give these swivelling Casoter casters a practical advantage when you need to move furniture or equipment and then keep it in place. The pack contains four 5-inch wheels with gray elastic thermoplastic rubber (TPR), a metal housing and double ball bearings. That combination is aimed at everyday rolling on items such as a workbench, storage bin or coffee table, rather than a fixed foot or a small, light-duty wheel. One detail needs attention before you decide: the product name says 1,000 lbs total load capacity, while the description says 1,400 lbs for the four-pack, so the stated capacity is inconsistent.

Technical details

Each caster swivels 360 degrees and has a dual-locking brake. The wheel is 5 inches in diameter and 1.26 inches wide, with an overall height of 6.22 inches. The top plate measures 3.74 by 2.44 inches, and the listed bolt-hole size is 8.5 mm. The wheels are gray TPR, and the housing is metal. Double ball bearings are specified, but the listing does not provide a separate load rating for each caster.

That last point matters if you are choosing wheels for a heavy item: the two total-capacity figures do not agree, and a load is not always distributed evenly across all four corners. Treat the stated capacity cautiously rather than using the higher figure as a guarantee.

Practical compatibility

These are top-plate-mounted casters, described as commonly used with a removable plate. The listing suggests furniture and equipment including ottomans, coffee tables, plant stands, bookshelves, shoe bins, toy bins, shopping carts, workbenches and under-bed storage. Those examples indicate a broad range of uses, but they do not confirm that the plate will match any particular item. Before choosing them, compare the mounting area and hole layout with the dimensions above, and make sure the furniture or equipment can accept a plate-mounted wheel.

It’s a good option if you want a four-caster set for something that needs to roll around a room and then stay put. A fixed wheel setup may suit straight-line movement better, the swivel design is more useful when you need to turn in a tighter space. It may not be the best option if you need a confirmed capacity for a demanding load or already know your mounting pattern differs.

Usage tips

A practical example is a workbench that needs to move aside for floor cleaning: swivel the bench into position, then engage the brakes before using it. The rubber wheels are described as smooth and quiet, which may be helpful on furniture used indoors, though the listing does not specify flooring compatibility or test results. Check the mounting surface and fasteners before loading the item, and distribute weight as evenly as its design allows. Avoid assuming that the brakes make an unstable or overloaded piece of furniture safe.

Dudas de compra

How many casters are included? The listing specifies a pack of four.

Do they swivel? Yes. The wheels are described as swivelling through 360 degrees and having dual-locking brakes.

What is the total load capacity? The product name states 1,000 lbs, but the description states 1,400 lbs for the four-pack. Based on the listing details, there is no single consistent figure to rely on.

Before you buy

Choose this set when you need four swivel casters with brakes and the plate dimensions suit your furniture or equipment. The 5-inch TPR wheels and metal housings are the main fit-and-use details, the unresolved capacity figure is the key drawback. For a load where the rating is critical, or for a mounting plate that cannot be checked against the listed measurements, a caster with a clearly stated capacity and confirmed fit is the safer buying route.
