C4030 Pool Filter Cartridges

If your priority is replacing cartridges in a compatible SwimClear system, this four-pack is built around that job. If you prefer a more basic replacement, its heavier trilobal fabric and stated filtration details may be more than you need.

The cartridges are listed for Hayward SwimClear C4030, C4025 and C4020 filters, as well as several replacement references. Matching the exact filter model matters here, these are not presented as universal cartridges.

Picture routine pool care: lift out a used cartridge, fit its replacement without tools, then hose it down when cleaning is due. That straightforward format is the main appeal, with a few performance claims worth weighing against your own maintenance needs.

Getting the most from it

The pack contains four cartridges rated at 425 sq. ft. each. The listing gives dimensions of 7-inch outer diameter, 25-1/2-inch height and 3-inch openings, so compare those details with the cartridge you are replacing before ordering. It names C4030, C4025 and C4020 systems, along with CX880XRE, PA106 and C-7488 replacement references.

The stated 5 oz+ trilobal fabric is intended to trap particles as small as 10 microns, including sand, hair and oils. For everyday upkeep, the practical routine is simple: remove a cartridge and rinse its pleats with a hose. The product description says the pleat design helps release trapped debris during cleaning, but it does not provide a cleaning schedule or instructions for every pool setup.

Why it’s worth it

Compared with a basic replacement built around standard filter media, this cartridge emphasizes thicker fabric, a reinforced core and ABS end caps. Those details are meant to help the pleats keep their shape under pressure. The listing also identifies the product as NSF/ANSI 50 certified, if certification is a deciding factor, check that the specific item you receive carries the relevant marking.

Claims of up to 24 months of service and 50% less water use during cleaning are stated by the seller, not guaranteed outcomes for every pool. Cartridge life and rinsing needs can depend on use and water conditions, details that are not supplied here. That’s the main trade-off: the product offers specific durability and water-use claims, but no maintenance interval tailored to your pool.

At a glance

• Type: Replacement pool filter cartridges
• Compatibility listed: Hayward SwimClear C4030, C4025 and C4020
• Pack: Four cartridges
• Filter area: 425 sq. ft.

It’s a good fit if you want a multi-cartridge replacement pack with the listed dimensions and compatibility. It’s not for you if your filter model does not match those references, or if you need confirmed performance specific to your pool rather than the seller’s stated claims.

When to choose it

Choose this set when your current cartridges match the listed SwimClear models or replacement references and you want four replacements in one purchase. The tool-free installation claim and hose-down cleaning format suit owners who handle routine pool maintenance themselves. If your main concern is simply finding the lowest-spec replacement, the heavier fabric and durability claims may not be useful priorities, if exact fit is uncertain, confirm the cartridge dimensions and model reference first.
