Everyday use

For a workday that moves between printing documents, making copies and sending a fax, having these functions in one printer keeps the setup straightforward. The MFCJ4355DW also handles scanning, so paperwork and photos can be digitized using the same device. Rather than assembling separate machines for each task, a home-office user can keep common printing and document jobs in one compact footprint.

Wi-Fi connectivity suits a workspace where the printer needs to connect through a wireless network. For example, it can serve as a central printer for regular paperwork while also being available for scanning a photo or copying a page. Need colour output as well as everyday document handling? This model combines both in one inkjet printer, with colour inks supplied alongside the black cartridge.

In the box

The bundle includes the Brother printer and ink supplies: one LC506BKS black standard-yield ink cartridge and the LC506XL3PKS high-yield colour ink three-pack, comprising cyan, magenta and yellow. Having black and colour ink in the bundle supports a mix of text documents and colour printing from the outset. The included cartridges also make the package distinct from a printer-only purchase, with the specified black and colour ink references already identified for this set.

Final verdict

A solid pick if you want one compact printer for a home office or small office and value having print, copy, scan and fax functions together. Its Wi-Fi connection supports a connected workspace, while colour inkjet output and the supplied black and three-colour ink set suit a range of everyday document and photo-related tasks.
