blurams 2K indoor security camera

The 2K picture and 360-degree coverage are the main draw of this blurams indoor security camera: it can follow movement around a room rather than leaving you to watch a fixed view. Motion tracking, phone alerts and two-way audio make it useful for checking in on pets or keeping an eye on indoor activity while you’re away. It also offers IR night vision, a siren and a Privacy Mode, so there are options for both monitoring and limiting when the camera is active. One distinction worth keeping in mind is that the automatic event clips and optional 24/7 cloud recording are different recording features.

How to use it

Set the camera up in a room where its rotating view can cover the area you care about, then use the blurams app to check the live feed or receive alerts for detected people, sound or motion. When movement is detected, auto-tracking follows the target and records a 12-second event clip. For instance, if your cat wanders from the sofa towards its food bowl while you’re out, you can get a notification and check the clip instead of leaving a live feed open all day. Two-way audio lets you speak through the camera as well as listen.

The camera supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, with WiFi 6 performance described as improving connection speed and stability. Alexa and Google Assistant can bring up the live stream on a compatible screen-equipped device. Privacy Mode is available when you want to stop monitoring your personal space. How useful is that if you mainly need recordings rather than occasional check-ins? It depends on choosing the recording option that matches your routine: event clips are included without a subscription fee, while 24/7 CVR cloud recording is optional.

Pros

• 2K resolution and 360-degree coverage, with motion tracking to follow activity around the room.
• Alerts for humans, sound and motion, plus 12-second event clips for quick checks.
• Two-way audio, IR night vision and a siren add practical ways to monitor and respond.
• The app can show up to four cameras at once and supports sharing access with unlimited family members.
• Optional local memory-card storage and cloud recording give you different ways to keep footage.

A limitation to factor in: the memory card is sold separately, and local storage supports cards up to 256GB. The product information doesn’t specify how much cloud recording costs or how long footage is retained, so don’t assume the optional cloud service is included. It suits you if you want a flexible indoor view for pets or general home checks, with alerts and the option to talk through the camera. It isn't for you if you need a complete recording setup from the box or want details about cloud retention before choosing a service.

What I’d decide

Choose this camera if the combination of room-wide tracking, quick event clips and two-way audio fits how you plan to check in. It offers more than a basic fixed-view camera, particularly if you want to follow a pet’s movement or view the feed on a compatible smart display. If your priority is uninterrupted recording, look closely at the optional 24/7 cloud recording or plan for a separate memory card, the included 12-second event clips are not the same as continuous footage. That distinction is the key to deciding whether its monitoring approach suits your home.
