AUVON N001A Plug-In LED Backlit Night Light, 2-Pack, Dimmable

For bedrooms, hallways and other indoor spaces where you want gentle light after dark, the AUVON N001A provides adjustable illumination without a bright beam shining directly into your eyes.

Its backlit design uses 16 LEDs to reflect a soft glow onto the wall, making it useful for nighttime visibility in areas such as a bathroom, nursery or kitchen.

Choose motion-activated lighting or dusk-to-dawn operation, then set the brightness to suit the room. Need light only when someone passes by, or a steady glow through the night? The two modes let you decide.

Key points

The motion-sensor mode switches the light on when it detects movement in darkness or low ambient light. Its detection range is 3–5 metres across a 120° angle, and it turns off about 60 seconds after movement stops. This suits a hallway or bathroom where you want light for a brief nighttime visit without having to find a switch.

In dusk-to-dawn mode, the light sensor responds to the room’s brightness, turning the night light on in the dark and off in bright conditions. The 1–50 lm output is adjustable: a short press selects among eight brightness steps, while a long press provides stepless dimming. When it remains connected to power, it retains the last brightness setting, so you can keep your preferred level from one use to the next.

The diffused backlight is designed to avoid the direct glare of a forward-facing light source. Two plug-in lights are included, allowing you to place light where it is useful across more than one indoor area. The compact design also leaves the second wall outlet available for another device.

Size & fit

Designed for plug-in indoor use, this square night light mounts at the wall outlet rather than requiring a separate lamp or floor space. Its low-profile format is practical for a bedroom beside the route to the door, or in a hallway where keeping the floor clear matters. Place it where its sensor can detect movement along the path you want illuminated, in a bedroom, the adjustable output gives you control over how much ambient light reaches the room.

Usage tips

Select the mode that matches the routine. Use motion sensing for short, movement-triggered light in a passage or bathroom, and dusk-to-dawn sensing when you prefer the light to respond to ambient brightness. Adjust the output with a short or long press, depending on whether you want a preset step or a finely chosen level. The plug-in installation keeps setup straightforward, and the retained brightness setting saves you from resetting your preferred level whenever power remains connected.

Compared with a manually switched night light, the AUVON offers sensor-based operation, compared with a fixed-brightness option, it lets you tailor the glow from 1–50 lm. Its LED source uses 1.5 watts, and the casing is described as V-0 fire-resistant with over-current protection. Use it indoors as night lighting in the rooms where you want a soft, convenient guide after dark.

Practical questions

What is included in the pack? Two AUVON night lights and a user manual are included, so you can set up lighting at two outlets.

How do the two sensor modes differ? Motion mode turns on when movement is detected in darkness or low light and switches off after about 60 seconds without movement. Dusk-to-dawn mode responds to ambient light, turning on in the dark and off in bright conditions.

Can I choose a low brightness for a bedroom? Yes. The light dims from 1–50 lm. Use a short press for one of eight brightness steps or a long press for stepless adjustment, then keep it connected to power to retain the last setting.

Buying verdict

For anyone who wants controllable, indirect night lighting in everyday indoor spaces, the AUVON N001A combines a two-mode sensor, adjustable 1–50 lm brightness and a two-light pack. It is a practical fit for bedrooms, hallways and bathrooms where a soft glow can make nighttime movement easier.
