aosu Home Security Camera Kit, 6-Camera

If you want to monitor several areas without adding a monthly subscription, this aosu kit takes a different route from a basic single-camera setup: it combines six cameras with a base station and local video storage. The appeal is broad coverage with recordings kept at home, rather than a service plan.

Each camera records in 4K and offers TrueColor night vision without a floodlight. Whether you need all six cameras will depend on your property layout, the kit is designed for a wider perimeter, not just one doorway.

How to use it

Connect the aosuBase to your router with Ethernet, then connect the cameras to the base wirelessly. The cameras use a battery and a detachable solar panel, so installation does not require professional help, though placement still matters: choose spots where the panel can support the camera’s power needs and where the camera has a useful view.

For example, you could position cameras to watch separate approaches to a home, then use multi-camera tracking to follow an event across clips rather than opening a string of unrelated alerts. The base’s 32GB of built-in storage is local and encrypted, and it can be expanded up to 1TB, additional storage is not included. That subscription-free approach may suit people who want control of recordings, but it also means storage capacity is a practical consideration.

Pros

The combination of 4K video, colour night vision and radar, PIR and AI detection gives the system several ways to identify activity. The product description says the detection is intended to reduce false alerts, though it does not provide measured accuracy figures. A 360° pan-tilt design with auto-tracking is intended to cover more than a fixed-view camera, while multi-camera tracking can bring related clips together.

There is no required subscription, and the base supports up to six cameras. Since this kit already includes six, that capacity is a better fit for someone planning broad home coverage than for someone who only needs to watch one small area. It suits you if local storage, night-time monitoring and a multi-camera view are priorities. Best to avoid it if you want a simple single-camera setup or do not want to connect a base station to your router.

Spec sheet

• Type: Wireless home security camera kit
• Video: 4K UHD with TrueColor night vision
• Detection: Radar, PIR and AI
• Storage: 32GB built in, expandable up to 1TB (not included)
• Camera power: 9200mAh battery with detachable solar panel
• Base connection: Ethernet to router, cameras connect wirelessly
• Capacity: Kit includes six cameras, base supports up to six

Based on the listed details, one limitation to keep in mind is that the base needs an Ethernet connection, even though the cameras connect to it wirelessly. The description also does not specify recording retention time, so storage needs will depend on how much footage your cameras capture.

What I’d decide

Choose this kit if you have several areas to cover and want local recordings without a subscription, with solar-assisted camera power and event tracking as useful extras. If your priority is only a single entrance, a simpler camera setup may be easier to place and manage, if you want this system, make sure six cameras and a router-connected base suit your home before committing.
