AlpsWolf CLV310-G2 Rechargeable Camping Lantern, Green, 4 Modes, 2-Pack

When lighting a campsite or handling a power outage, it helps to illuminate the surrounding area rather than just one spot. The AlpsWolf CLV310-G2 is a rechargeable LED lantern designed for shared, hands-free lighting, with four modes for different situations and a foldable handle for carrying or hanging.

Its all-around light can help brighten a tent or campsite, while the low white setting suits reading and a softer night light. Use the red light for vehicle warnings or switch to red strobe for an SOS signal. A memory function restores the last setting, so you don’t have to cycle through modes each time you turn it on.

Getting the most from it

Set the lantern on a tabletop for general area lighting, or use its foldable handle to carry it and hang it from a tent, branch or bag. High white is intended for setting up camp and emergency lighting, low white is useful when reading or keeping light nearby at night. The steady red and red strobe modes provide options for visibility and signalling.

The built-in rechargeable battery also lets the lantern serve as an emergency power bank for a cell phone when camping or during an outage. For charging the lantern itself, use a USB-A-to-USB-C cable, a USB-C-to-USB-C cable won’t recognize the device. Buyer feedback often highlights the brightness, range of lighting modes and portability. Experiences with battery life and functionality are mixed, so feedback on those points varies.

What you’ll notice day to day

The compact body is easy to pack with camping gear, and the handle gives you a practical way to move or suspend the lantern when a tabletop isn’t available. Its broad illumination is suited to lighting a shared space, while the lower white mode offers a more subdued option for reading or nighttime use. Memory recall helps keep operation straightforward: a short press changes modes, and a long press turns the lantern off.

For an outage kit, the combination of area lighting and emergency phone charging brings two useful functions into one portable unit. The red warning and strobe modes also give you options beyond everyday white light. The set includes two lanterns, making it possible to place light in separate areas, such as a tent and a nearby gathering spot.

When it makes sense

It’s a good fit if you want rechargeable lighting for camping, emergency preparation or household power outages, with modes that cover both everyday illumination and signalling. Compared with choosing a light intended mainly for one directed spot, this lantern’s all-around design is useful when people need to see across a tent, campsite or room. Its foldable handle, four lighting modes and power-bank function make it a practical choice for portable, multipurpose lighting.
