Iris Plaza 56296023 Round Flannel Rug, 140 x 140 cm, Green, Washable

In a 140 x 140 cm round format, this green Iris Plaza rug gives a living room a defined spot for comfort. Its short-pile flannel surface has a soft, fluffy texture for everyday use. The rug is machine washable and has a non-slip backing, combining straightforward care with a more secure feel underfoot. It is also suitable for use with hot carpet and underfloor heating.

Getting the most from it

Use the round shape to mark out a compact area in a living room, such as beside a sofa or within a seating space. Unlike a fitted carpet that covers a whole floor, an area rug lets you add a distinct soft surface where it is most useful. Its 140 x 140 cm size gives that area a clear boundary, while the green colour brings a noticeable accent to the room.

The low pile makes the surface practical for regular indoor use, and the short, fluffy texture keeps it comfortable to walk or sit on. A non-slip backing helps the rug stay in place during day-to-day use. It can also be used with hot carpet or underfloor heating, so it suits rooms where those heating options are part of the setup. Keep it indoors, where its area-rug format is intended to be used.

Benefits

Machine washing makes routine cleaning more convenient than relying on surface care alone. The rug is also listed as stain resistant, which can help with everyday spills and marks, and its dust mite resistant treatment is a useful feature for a frequently used family living area. An antibacterial feature adds another practical detail for a rug used in a shared room.

The round profile offers a different look from a rectangular rug and can soften the lines of a seating arrangement or other indoor space. At 140 x 140 cm, it can serve as a defined floor accent without turning the whole room into a carpeted area. The combination of a washable surface, non-slip backing and heating compatibility makes it straightforward to incorporate into everyday living.

What to know

This is a single-piece, round area rug in green, with a 140 x 140 cm footprint and a stated thickness of 0.8 cm. It has a low-pile construction, a flannel surface and a polyester backing. The care instruction is machine wash, making it possible to clean the rug as part of a regular home-care routine. Its dust mite resistant treatment, antibacterial feature and stain resistance are also listed product features.

For a practical living-room setup, place it where you want a soft, defined area—around a seating arrangement, for example—then use the non-slip backing to help keep it positioned during normal use. Its round shape is particularly useful when a softer outline suits the room better than a rectangular floor covering. As with any rug, match its footprint to the area you want it to define, and follow the care instructions when washing.

Should you buy it?

It’s a good fit if you want a compact round rug for an indoor living space and value easy machine-wash care, a soft short pile and a non-slip backing. The green finish makes it a distinct room accent, while compatibility with hot carpet and underfloor heating helps it work in rooms that use those heating options. Choose it to add a comfortable, defined surface without covering the entire floor.
