Tech summary

The rug is machine-made from microfibre, with a high pile for a soft feel underfoot. Its black-and-white check pattern gives a room a strong geometric feature without relying on extra colours. A PVC backing provides the non-slip base described for everyday indoor use, while the rug is also listed as stain resistant and fragrance-free.

• Size: 160 x 230 cm, rectangular
• Material: Microfibre
• Weave: Machine-made, high pile
• Colour and pattern: Black and white checkered
• Backing: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
• Use: Indoor

Compared with a flatter, more understated floor covering, this high-pile style brings a softer feel and a more noticeable pattern. The rollable or foldable format also makes it easier to handle when moving or storing the rug.

Everyday use

Place it in a living room to define a seating area, or use it beside a bed to add a soft surface underfoot. The checkered pattern can anchor a room with simpler furnishings, while the black-and-white palette works as a distinct visual accent. Its rectangular shape suits placement alongside common furniture layouts, and the non-slip backing helps the rug stay in position during normal indoor use.

For routine care, the product information recommends regular vacuuming and spot cleaning small marks with a damp cloth. It can also be hand washed and air dried. These straightforward care options help keep the plush surface presentable as part of a lived-in room.

Best use cases

This HUGEAR rug is suited to indoor spaces where a soft, patterned floor covering can contribute to the room’s comfort and look. In a living room, use it to bring definition to an open floor area, in a bedroom or children’s room, its fluffy pile adds a more tactile finish. The check pattern makes it a natural choice when you want the rug itself to contribute noticeable contrast rather than blend quietly into the floor.

It is also a practical fit for a cosy nook or another everyday spot where you want a defined rug area. The 160 x 230 cm size offers a substantial rectangular footprint, while the rollable or foldable construction gives flexibility when the rug needs to be moved.

Before you decide

What size is the rug? It measures 160 x 230 cm and has a rectangular shape, making it suitable for defining a larger floor area or placing alongside furniture.

How should I clean it? Vacuum regularly and use a damp cloth for small marks. The care information also describes hand washing followed by air drying.

What helps keep it in place? It has a PVC backing described as non-slip, designed to provide a more stable base for indoor use.
