Who it’s for

These in-ear earbuds suit people who want one pair for commuting, workouts, entertainment and professional calls. IP54 resistance is suited to sweat, rain and dust exposure, while the case’s stated 35.5-hour total battery life helps reduce how often you need to recharge between outings. For a call in a café or outdoors, the four-mic system and wind noise reduction are designed to help keep speech clear, for a quieter listening session, ANC offers a different way to manage surrounding sound.

If you’re choosing between simple wireless earbuds and a pair with more listening controls, the Buds 2a add ANC, Transparency Mode and app-based EQ in one set. They’re a good fit if you want to adjust your sound and noise control rather than rely on a single listening mode. Buyers praise the noise cancellation and battery life, while feedback on sound quality is mixed. Some also report Bluetooth dropouts and reliability or durability concerns, so those experiences are worth weighing alongside the listed features.

Getting the most from it

Use ANC when you want to reduce surrounding noise, then switch to Transparency Mode when hearing more of your environment is useful. The Nothing X app is the place to adjust ANC, set an EQ profile or activate Low Latency Mode for gaming. Multipoint is useful when moving between compatible Bluetooth devices, while touch controls give you an on-ear way to manage playback. The earbuds are designed for mobile phones and connect wirelessly over Bluetooth 5.4.
