ZAQE MP3 Player, 16GB

If you want music and streaming apps without relying on your phone, a dedicated player like this takes a different approach from a basic offline-only MP3 player. The ZAQE combines Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with a touchscreen, so you can stream when connected and use it for local music, videos, or reading too. You’ll appreciate it if you want those functions in one device, if you prioritize a larger screen for video, a 4-inch display may feel limiting.

Where it shines

The main appeal is its mix of streaming and traditional media-player features. Spotify, Apple Music, Audible, amazon Music, and Deezer are listed as preloaded apps, while Wi-Fi provides a way to access streaming services when a network is available. Bluetooth 5.0 is intended for pairing with headphones or other compatible audio devices, and the built-in speaker offers another way to listen without headphones.

For offline listening, the player supports MP3, FLAC, AAC, WAV, APE, OGG, and WMA files, with playlists, lyric display, and an adjustable EQ also listed. The 4-inch touchscreen adds video playback, with support for 1080p files in formats including MP4, MKV, RMVB, and FLV. A practical use: download music or an audiobook for a commute, then switch to a short video or an e-book during a break. FM radio and voice recording add functions beyond playback, though they may matter more to some buyers than others.

What to know

Its 16GB of built-in storage is the key constraint to weigh against the long feature list. Apps, music, audiobooks, and videos all compete for room, and the listing does not specify expandable storage. If you keep a large media library or want several lengthy videos available offline, managing what stays on the device could become part of your routine. The 4-inch display is better suited to casual clips and reading than to replacing a larger screen for extended viewing.

The listing gives the battery capacity as 2000mAh and claims up to 40 hours of music playback, actual playback time can vary with use. It also lists 2GB of RAM, a Type-C charging port, a one-key lock, and a screenshot function. Without having tried it, it’s sensible to treat claims such as smooth operation as specifications rather than a guarantee of how every app will behave. App access may also depend on Wi-Fi and each service’s requirements, which are not detailed here.

Best use cases

This player makes the most sense for someone who wants a dedicated music and audiobook device, especially when Bluetooth listening and occasional streaming are more important than a large display. It can also suit a family looking for a device with music, videos, radio, and e-books in one place, though the listing does not describe parental controls. For a gym session or a walk, you could pair headphones, choose a playlist, and leave phone-based listening aside.

If you prioritize a broad set of media functions, this is more versatile than an offline-only player. If you prefer a simple device with more space devoted to a large collection, the 16GB capacity and app-focused setup may be less suitable. Better avoided if your main goal is watching full-length video on a roomy screen or storing a large offline library without frequent curation.

Final verdict

The ZAQE is worth considering when you want Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth, local audio, and basic video and reading functions in one dedicated player. Its strongest case is convenience across different kinds of media, not a screen or storage setup designed for heavy video use. Choose it if the listed apps and compact touchscreen match how you listen day to day, look elsewhere if ample storage or a larger viewing area is your deciding factor.
