YANKEETRADERS 9 Grains Cracked Mix, 44-Ounce Bulk Bag for Cereal & Baking

For cooks who want a grain mix for both breakfast and homemade baking, YANKEETRADERS 9 Grains Cracked Mix offers a versatile starting point. Prepare it as a hot cereal, or work it into breads and other baked goods. If your priority is a ready-to-use breakfast cereal, it suits that need, if you like building flavor and texture into recipes, its blend of cracked grains offers another way to use it.

How it fits

This mix brings together hard wheat, soft wheat, triticale, rye, oats, pearled barley, spelt, durum, and brown flax seed. The combination gives cooks several grains to draw on in one bag, making it useful when you want a mixed-grain base rather than choosing each grain separately. Its nutty flavor is a natural fit for a warming cereal, and the same blend can be used in bread and other baked goods.

The product description includes a hot cereal recipe, so you have a suggested starting point for serving it as breakfast. For other uses, add the mix to a bread recipe or use it in baked goods where a variety of grains suits the dish. The 44-ounce bulk bag makes the blend available for more than one cooking project.

Where it shines

Hot cereal is a straightforward way to make the mix the center of a meal, while bread baking lets the grains contribute to a hearty, multi-grain loaf. The blend also gives home bakers an option for adding grains to sourdough recipes. Buyers describe enjoying it in homemade breads and praise its versatility, some also mention using it in soups and stews. Those are useful ideas for cooks who want a grain mix that can move beyond a single breakfast routine.

Choose this blend when you want multiple grains in one ingredient and plan to use them across cereal or cooking and baking. A single-grain product may make more sense when a recipe specifically calls for one grain, but this mix is suited to recipes where a combination is welcome. It is described as GMO-free.
