XUANINY XY-1548 Peel-and-Stick Aluminum Mosaic Backsplash Tiles, Frosted Silver, 8-Pack

For a kitchen backsplash update that calls for a metallic mosaic look without grout, the XUANINY XY-1548 uses self-adhesive aluminum sheets in a brushed Frosted Silver finish. Each sheet is listed as 11.33 x 11.92 inches, with a floral pattern and Art Deco styling, so it can add a decorative surface to a suitable indoor wall.

The peel-and-stick format is the main buying distinction: it avoids the separate adhesive and grout used in a more traditional tile installation. The product is described as water resistant, but it is not intended for direct flame contact or submersion.

How to use it

Plan the layout for a clean, flat wall before peeling off the backing. The product details specifically rule out dusty, oily, rough, or uneven surfaces, so preparation is central to getting the sheets to adhere. For a newly painted wall, the provided instructions say to let it dry for two to three weeks or longer before installation. This makes the tiles a better fit for a prepared backsplash or accent wall than for covering an irregular surface.

The sheets are intended for indoor decorative use, including kitchen backsplashes, laundry rooms, bedrooms, and other accent areas. They can be wiped clean, but the stated water resistance should not be read as permission to submerge them, the instructions also say to keep them away from direct flame. If the intended location gets heavy heat or standing water, those limits matter when choosing a wall finish.

Strengths

A brushed aluminum surface gives the design a metallic, mosaic-style appearance, while the adhesive backing offers a simpler installation approach than tiles that need separate glue and grout. Buyers commonly praise the appearance and report that the sheets are easy to cut to size. Those comments may be useful if the project includes edges or smaller sections, though they do not establish how the adhesive will perform on every wall.

Feedback on adhesion and durability is mixed: some buyers say the sheets stick well, while others are less satisfied with the glue or long-term stability. That makes careful surface preparation especially relevant. A conventional grouted tile approach may suit a project where a different installation method is preferred, these sheets are aimed at people who value a peel-and-stick format and a decorative metal finish.

Key points

The listed material is aluminum, with a brushed finish, Frosted Silver color, and a floral pattern. Each sheet measures 11.33 x 11.92 inches and is 0.16 inches thick. The product name identifies an 8-pack, but another passage in the supplied product details says five sheets per box. Because those pack counts conflict, the total coverage cannot be established reliably from the available information. Check the quantity for the specific listing before planning a full-wall layout.

Is it worth it?

It makes sense if you want a metallic backsplash or accent-wall look and have a clean, flat indoor surface ready for adhesive sheets. A straightforward kitchen refresh is a practical use case, especially when avoiding grout is part of the appeal. Not the best choice if the installation surface is uneven, or if the area will be exposed to direct flame or submersion. The unclear pack count is another reason to confirm how many sheets are included before estimating coverage.
