WORKPRO Groove Joint Pliers 12-Inch
Product description
When one pair of pliers is too small for a fitting and another feels awkward on a nut, switching tools slows down a repair. This WORKPRO set covers three lengths, giving you an 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch straight-jaw option for gripping pipes, nuts, bolts, and fittings. The adjustable jaws are designed for different gripping tasks, while the CrNi steel construction is hardened for demanding conditions. Without having tried it, the main appeal is practical range: several sizes in one set, without moving to a specialized tool for every job.
Key specifications
The set contains groove-joint water pump pliers with straight jaws in three lengths: 8, 10, and 12 inches. The stated jaw range is 1-3/8 to 2-3/8 inches. That gives you room to match the tool to the workpiece rather than relying on a single pair for every grip. The product description identifies CrNi steel as the material and says the steel is hardened. It also describes the handles as ergonomically shaped for a comfortable hold, though it doesn’t provide handle material or other construction details.
The straight-jaw design is the key buying distinction. It is aimed at gripping pipes, fittings, nuts, and bolts, not at adding specialized jaw shapes or functions that aren’t listed. If your toolbox has only one small adjustable plier, the range here may help with larger or differently sized jobs, if you need a specific specialty tool, this set doesn’t claim to replace one.
Who it’s for
This set is intended for DIY home maintenance and plumbing-related tasks, as well as general gripping, pulling, tightening, and loosening. For example, when a fitting under a sink needs holding while you work on a connection, you can choose among the three lengths and adjust the jaw to suit the part. The different sizes can also save a trip back to the toolbox when a job moves from a smaller nut to a larger pipe.
It suits you if you want multiple straight-jaw sizes for common repair work and prefer having options in one set. The ergonomic handle design may matter during a longer stretch of maintenance, but no handle dimensions or grip material are provided. You may want to skip it if your work calls for a jaw style or capability beyond adjustable straight-jaw gripping, since those features aren’t specified here.
What’s included
The listed contents are three groove-joint straight-jaw pliers: 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch. There’s no additional accessory or storage case mentioned, so don’t count on one being included. The value of the set is the choice of tool length for different workpieces, rather than a collection of unrelated tools. A buyer who mainly handles one consistent size may get less use from the extra pairs than someone whose repair jobs vary.
Before you decide
What can these pliers grip? The product description names pipes, fittings, nuts, and bolts, and also lists gripping, pulling, tightening, and loosening as intended tasks.
What sizes are included? The set has 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch pliers, all with straight jaws.
What are they made of? The listed material is hardened CrNi steel. The description doesn’t specify the handle material.
Final verdict
Choose this WORKPRO set if your home-repair toolbox needs adjustable straight-jaw pliers in several lengths, especially for work that moves between pipes, fittings, and fasteners. The three-size lineup is more useful than buying a single pair when your jobs vary. Pass if you need a specialty jaw design, want a specified handle material, or expect accessories that aren’t listed.
