VIVOSUN OUL-001-12 12-Light LED Grow Lights, Full Spectrum, Waterproof

A growing space with changing light needs calls for flexible placement, a fixed setup is better suited to a single, consistent coverage area. The VIVOSUN OUL-001-12 uses a 44-foot adjustable cord so you can arrange its 12 lights along a greenhouse, garden, or other plant-growing space.

Each light combines warm, white, and red LED chips to provide full-spectrum illumination for different stages of plant growth. The daisy-chain design also lets you connect lights end to end as your layout calls for.

Use the string for supplemental lighting indoors or outdoors. For outdoor use, its IP44 waterproof rating and aluminum shades are practical features for a garden or greenhouse setup.

Key takeaways

The 12-light set uses 15 watts per light, for 180 watts total. Each bulb has 48 LED chips: 24 warm 3000K chips, 18 white 5000K chips, and 6 red 660nm chips. The full-spectrum range is listed as 380–780nm, with blue light at 460nm and deep red at 660nm. This combination is intended to support plants through seedling, vegetative, and flowering stages.

A 44-foot adjustable cord gives you room to position the lights across a growing area, while the daisy-chain design supports end-to-end connections. The aluminum shades reflect light toward plants, helping direct illumination where it is needed. Buyers commonly praise the brightness and ease of hanging, and some describe using the lights in greenhouses or for seedlings and small indoor plants. Feedback on reliability is mixed: some buyers report blinking units or shorter-than-expected bulb life, so long-term durability is a concern raised in customer feedback.

Care & maintenance

For outdoor use, firmly secure each light to its socket and protect unused sockets to maintain the waterproof setup. The IP44-rated lights are designed for indoor and outdoor applications. Position the shades toward the plants you want to illuminate, and arrange the adjustable cord to suit the growing space. These practical setup steps are especially useful when the string is used in a garden or greenhouse where some sockets may remain unused.

Best use cases

This set suits growers who want supplemental light distributed across several plants rather than focused on a single spot. In a greenhouse, the long cord can be arranged along a planting area, while the mixed warm, white, and red chips provide full-spectrum light for seedlings, vegetables, flowers, and crops. It can also be used in a backyard or farm setting, as well as indoors for plants that need supplemental illumination.

Compared with choosing separate lights for individual plants, a string layout offers a connected way to cover a broader growing space. The set has 12 lights, and its daisy-chain design allows additional compatible strings to be linked. A single switch can support up to 36 lights at 110V or up to 72 lights at 220V, within the stated maximum total power for each voltage. Match the connection plan to the available electrical setup.
