VISCOO 20-Panel Small Animal Playpen, 48 x 24 x 16 in with Waterproof Mat

Set up a dedicated play area for a rabbit, guinea pig, or other small pet with this 20-panel enclosure. Its 48 x 24 x 16 in assembled footprint creates a defined space, while the coated-steel panels can be arranged to suit your room or pet area.

A waterproof floor mat fits inside the enclosure to help protect the floor and make everyday cleanup simpler. Eight transparent panels can also be assembled across the top, giving you a clear view of your pet while helping keep jumpers contained.

Practical tips

Connect the metal panels with the ABS corner connectors, then reinforce the structure with the included nylon ties. The assembly instructions recommend tapping the connectors firmly into place with a small wooden mallet and ensuring they are fully seated. These steps help the panels form a more secure enclosure.

Fit the 24 x 48 in mat around the inside of the fence, rather than outside it. Its 600D Oxford cloth surface has a PVC waterproof lining and a raised 4.7 in edge. For routine cleaning, wipe the mat with a damp towel, the manufacturer advises against machine washing. The mesh spacing is about 0.5 in, a useful detail when choosing an enclosure for small animals.

Strengths

The panel format offers more flexibility than a fixed-shape cage: arrange the enclosure for the available space, then use the transparent panels as a top cover when appropriate. Their clear design lets you keep an eye on your pet without blocking your view with an opaque lid. A small door in the playpen provides a convenient way for pets to enter and exit.

The fitted mat adds a practical layer between the enclosure and the floor. Its waterproof lining is designed to wipe clean, while the raised edge helps contain everyday mess within the play area. Buyers often highlight the straightforward assembly and suitability for small pets such as guinea pigs and bunnies. Feedback on sturdiness, durability, and the amount of space is mixed, so measure the area where you plan to set it up and use the recommended connectors and ties.

What matters most

This playpen is designed for small animals and can serve as a rabbit or guinea pig enclosure, a kitten play area, or a puppy pen. The 20-panel layout and clear top panels make it a practical alternative to a single-piece cage when you want an enclosure that can be arranged around your space and observed from above. Its indoor setting and listed dimensions make planning the placement straightforward.

For a typical setup, place the mat on the floor, connect the panels into the desired shape, and position the door for easy access. Add the transparent panels across the top if your pet enjoys jumping, and reinforce the connectors with the nylon ties as directed. This gives you a defined area for supervised play or everyday use while keeping the floor easier to maintain.
