Vet Promise 70CALMING Calming Dog Chews with Hemp, Melatonin, 70 Soft Chews

Soft chews give dogs a treat-style way to receive calming support during stressful routines. Vet Promise 70CALMING is made with hemp, valerian root, chamomile, and melatonin. Could that format be easier to offer than a supplement mixed into food? The pack contains 70 chews and is made in the USA.

Highlights

These chews are intended to support relaxation and help with everyday stress, nervous behavior, travel, separation, and sensitivity to storms or noise. The ingredient list names hemp, valerian root, chamomile, and melatonin, the product is also described as supporting sleep and hip and joint health. Those are product claims, not a guarantee that every dog will respond the same way. The details also say the chews have no added sugar, wheat, corn, GMOs, or preservatives.

The soft-chew format may suit owners looking for a treat-style supplement rather than something to measure or mix. Buyer feedback on whether dogs enjoy the taste is mixed: some reportedly accept the chews as treats, while others refuse them. Reports also vary on ease of giving them. Some buyers describe a calming effect, particularly during thunderstorms, but that feedback should not be treated as a predictable result for every dog.

How it fits

The product is listed for small, medium, and large dogs, so its stated audience spans a range of dog sizes. However, the provided details do not give size-specific serving directions. Follow the directions on the package and ask a veterinarian about suitability and serving amounts, especially if your dog is a puppy, has a health condition, or takes medication.

It suits you if you want a chew-based supplement to consider for situations such as car rides, vet visits, separation, or loud weather. Compared with relying only on changes to a dog’s environment or routine, a calming chew adds a supplement to that approach, it does not replace identifying stress triggers or seeking veterinary advice for ongoing or severe behavior concerns.

How to use it

Offer the chews according to the package directions, and introduce them in a way that lets you observe how your dog responds. Since the listing does not specify serving amounts by size, avoid assuming that one amount suits every dog. If your dog is selective about treats, taste may also affect whether this format works in practice.

Buyer comments include reports of vomiting and diarrhea, as well as complaints about odor. Feedback on expiration dates is also mixed, with some buyers saying the date was too short. Check the package details before use, and stop to seek veterinary guidance if your dog has an unexpected reaction. These reports are individual experiences, not a prediction of what will happen to your dog.

Final verdict

Vet Promise 70CALMING is a clearly identified option for owners considering hemp- and melatonin-containing soft chews for stress-related situations. Its broad stated use cases and 70-count format make it relevant for households that prefer a treat-style supplement, while the lack of size-specific directions in the provided details makes package guidance important. Better avoided if your dog will not eat soft chews or if you need a product with clearly stated serving guidance for your dog’s size. For ongoing anxiety or significant behavior changes, discuss options with a veterinarian rather than relying on a supplement alone.
