VERVEWAVE WT6700-12 Cordless Drywall Cut-Out Tool, 30,000 RPM Brushless Motor

The essentials

For installation work that calls for precise openings and cut-outs, the VERVEWAVE WT6700-12 pairs a compact cordless format with a 30,000 RPM brushless motor. It is designed for drywall, wood, and plastic, with adjustable cutting depth to help tailor the cut to the task.

The tool works with DEWALT 20V lithium-ion batteries, making it a practical fit for users who already have a compatible battery. A built-in LED lights the work area, while tool-free bit changes make it easier to switch between cutting tasks. Need to keep dust in check while cutting? The removable collection hood connects to a vacuum and is rated to capture up to 98% of cutting debris when used that way.

Best use cases

This spiral saw suits drywall cut-outs and other cutting tasks in wood or plastic. For example, during a room update, the adjustable depth can help set the cut for an opening in drywall, while the LED helps illuminate the immediate work area. The depth adjustment is tool-free, with a maximum cutting depth of 25mm.

The included 1/8-inch and 1/4-inch bits support different cutting setups. The tool is also compatible with 1/8-inch, 5/32-inch, and 1/4-inch drill bits and chucks, so users can choose a suitable bit size for the job. It can be configured as a spiral saw, undercut saw, or rotary saw. A removable dust hood provides a convenient vacuum connection when debris control matters.

Buyer feedback describes the tool as easy to use and reports good functionality with DEWALT 20V batteries. Durability feedback is mixed: some buyers consider it sturdy, while others report problems with bits breaking. This perspective can help inform expectations around bit choice and handling for repeated cutting work.
