UNBREAKcable UBMU853 Privacy Screen Protector for iPhone 17, 28° Anti-Spy, 2-Pack

A screen protector can prioritize a clear everyday view, or add privacy when you use your phone around other people. The UNBREAKcable UBMU853 combines tempered-glass screen coverage with a viewing-angle filter, giving iPhone 17 users a practical option for keeping messages and other on-screen content less visible from the side.

The two-pack includes an alignment frame and installation accessories. Its 9H glass, fingerprint-resistant coating, and touch-sensitive surface are designed to support regular phone use while helping protect the display from scratches and everyday bumps.

Best use cases

The privacy filter is useful when checking messages, email, or other personal content on a bus, train, or in a shared space. The screen is intended to remain visible to someone looking directly at it, while the restricted side view helps limit what nearby passengers can see. Need to read a message during a crowded commute without making it easy for others to glance over? That is the everyday situation this design addresses.

The glass also brings scratch resistance and a hydrophobic, oleophobic coating to routine screen use. That combination is relevant for people who handle their phone throughout the day and want a protective layer that stays responsive to touch. Its stated 99.99% clarity is intended to preserve a sharp-looking display while adding privacy, and the glossy finish suits users who prefer a clear, polished screen appearance.

Buyer feedback often highlights the privacy effect and appearance. Reports are more mixed on durability, fit, adhesion, image clarity, and bubbles during installation, so the fitting process and long-term experience can vary. The included alignment frame is designed to help position the glass evenly, and the protector is described as self-expelling air bubbles as it adheres.

Practical questions

Which phone is this screen protector made for? It is designed for the iPhone 17. Its stated screen size is 6.3 inches, and the full-coverage design is shaped for that phone.

Does the privacy filter affect Face ID? The product is designed to protect the front-camera area without affecting Face ID, so the privacy layer can be used while retaining that function.

How does the viewing-angle filter work? The screen is intended to be directly visible from the front. The manufacturer describes partial privacy at 28° and a fully blocked view at 45°, making the filter suited to public settings where people may be seated beside you.

Is it worth it?

For iPhone 17 owners who want both tempered-glass screen protection and a more private display in public, the UBMU853 brings those priorities together in a two-pack. The viewing-angle filter addresses screen privacy, while the included alignment frame supports installation at home. It suits you if side-view privacy is an important part of how you use your phone, along with a touch-responsive glass layer for everyday handling.
