Trekassy Saucer Swing, 60-Inch

When a regular swing leaves little room to sit together, this large saucer-style seat gives kids and adults more space to swing side by side. The Trekassy set pairs a 60-inch steel swing with an A-frame stand, so it can create a dedicated play spot without needing a separate tree branch or swing structure.

Its main appeal is shared outdoor play, with a setup designed for a backyard or other play area. The listing also mentions indoor use, but the stand and ground anchors make the intended setup worth considering before choosing a location.

Key specifications

The swing has a 60-inch steel frame, and the stand uses an A-frame design with ground anchors. The listing gives the stand a capacity of 440 pounds and separately describes the swing as having a 700-pound capacity. Those figures refer to different parts of the product, so don’t treat them as equivalent ratings for the assembled set. Check the instructions for the selected variant before use.

The frame and seat are described as weather-resistant, and the product is presented as low-maintenance, with no staining or painting required. The swing and frame colors vary by variant, so the color shown for one version may not match another.

Who it’s for

This set is aimed at families who want a larger swing seat for shared play rather than a conventional one-person swing. Picture kids stretching out on the saucer after school, or a parent joining them for a short backyard break. It also suits buyers looking to encourage outdoor play, the listing specifically mentions use as a calming option for autistic children, though individual needs and preferences vary.

It makes sense if you have room for the A-frame and want a freestanding setup instead of relying on a suitable tree limb. You may want to skip it if you need a compact swing or want a clearly stated single capacity for the complete assembled product. From the way it is set up, this is more of a roomy play feature than a minimal, easy-to-store seat.

In the box

The description says the frame and swing seat are assembled from pre-drilled components and that the required accessories and hardware are included. It also mentions ground anchors for the stand. That should reduce the need to source basic assembly parts separately, but the listing doesn’t provide a detailed inventory of every component, so check the selected variant’s details if a specific part matters to your setup.

Practical doubts

Does it need a tree branch? No tree branch is listed as necessary, the swing comes with its own A-frame stand. You’ll still need a suitable area for the assembled frame and its anchors.

Can it be used indoors? The description lists both indoor and outdoor use. Since the stand includes ground anchors, consider whether your intended indoor surface and setup can accommodate them before buying.

Are the seat and frame always the same color? No. The listing says colors vary by variant, so check the details for the version you plan to select.

Should you buy it?

Choose this Trekassy swing if a broad, shared seat and a freestanding frame fit your space better than a basic single swing. Its pre-drilled parts, included hardware, and low-maintenance design are practical points for a family play area. The important trade-off is capacity clarity: the listing gives separate numbers for the stand and swing, not one unambiguous rating for the complete setup. If that distinction affects your decision, confirm the selected version’s instructions first, if you need a smaller or simpler swing, a standard single-seat design may be a better fit.
