TRAPMATE XN-LG Shower Drain Hair Catcher, 4.4-Inch 304 Stainless Steel

The TRAPMATE XN-LG measures 4.4 inches wide and 1.6 inches high, with a 304 stainless steel chain mesh and a silicone base. Its light gray finish suits a clean, understated bathroom look.

Place it directly over a shower or bathtub drain to catch hair before it enters the plumbing. The design works with regular and pop-up drains, including raised drain surfaces.

Openings let water pass through while the catcher collects hair and other small items. The flexible mesh flips inside out for emptying, making routine cleanup straightforward.

Practical tips

Set the catcher over the drain so its silicone base rests against the surface. No installation is required, and the removable design makes it easy to lift, empty, and put back after use. For a practical bathroom routine, clear away collected hair regularly, keeping the mesh free of buildup helps maintain water flow.

The 4.4-inch diameter is designed to fit most drain openings. If you are choosing between an insert-style strainer and a cover that sits above the drain, this format is useful when you want to leave a pop-up stopper in place. It can also be used on raised drains, so the stopper does not need to be unscrewed or removed for placement.

Where it shines

This catcher is made for everyday showers and baths where loose hair can otherwise travel into the drain. Its perforated chain mesh allows water to drain while collecting hair, and the silicone base and stainless steel construction help it stay positioned on the drain surface. That combination keeps the task simple: place it over the opening, then lift and empty it when needed.

The flexible mesh is particularly useful at cleanup time. Turn it inside out to release collected hair, or wipe it clean before setting it back. Buyers often praise its hair-catching, stable fit, and easy daily cleaning, and some mention that its polished ring gives the drain a more finished appearance. These are customer impressions, while the product’s direct-placement design and reversible mesh make the cleaning process clear.
