TOBYTO 4036Hei Slow Feeder Dog Bowl, Black PP Maze, 4-Cup Capacity
Product description
Dogs that rush through meals can benefit from a bowl that makes eating a more deliberate activity. The TOBYTO slow feeder uses a maze pattern to guide dogs as they work through food. Its wide layout is designed for medium and large breeds. Choose it to add a food-navigation challenge rather than serve a meal in a standard open bowl.
Size & fit
The bowl measures 9.84 x 9.84 x 1.73 inches and is intended for medium and large dogs, including breeds in the 40–90 lb range. Its shallow, wide shape gives dogs room to reach the food around the maze. The stated capacity is 4 cups, while the amount it holds can vary with kibble size and filling method, for slow-feeding, the manufacturer recommends 2–3 cups per meal.
The maze is designed to slow the pace of eating by encouraging dogs to use their tongues to navigate between the bowl’s raised paths and reach their food. It can be used with dry, wet, or raw food, making it a flexible choice for households that serve different food types. For a dog that eats quickly, the pattern changes the routine from taking large mouthfuls from an open dish to retrieving food from around the maze.
Benefits
The maze pattern adds a simple feeding challenge without requiring a separate puzzle toy. Slower, more engaged eating may be helpful for dogs that tend to gulp their meals, while the bowl’s nonslip rubber pads are designed to limit movement during feeding. That can help keep the dish in place as a dog works through the maze.
Made from polypropylene, the bowl is described as food-grade and free of BPA, PVC, and phthalates. It is dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand with warm water and detergent. The maze-shaped interior has multiple paths to clean, so rinsing the bowl after use can help clear food from its grooves.
Buyers often highlight that the bowl helps slow fast eaters. Feedback on capacity, stability, and ease of cleaning is mixed, so the fit of the meal and the dog’s eating style are useful considerations when choosing a feeder. Compared with a regular bowl meant for quick, unobstructed access, this design is intended for owners who want mealtime to involve more deliberate food retrieval.
