TIPGO Slim Bathroom Trash Can 1.6 Gal

A bathroom wastebasket does not need to take up much floor space, but a smaller bin can mean emptying it more often. The TIPGO has a slim 5.9-inch profile for narrow spots in a bathroom, bedroom, or office, along with a foot pedal and a fitted lid that keeps waste covered. If you prioritize a compact footprint and hands-free opening, its design makes sense, if you prefer a larger bin that needs less frequent attention, its 1.6-gallon capacity is a tradeoff. Without having tried it, the most useful details to weigh are the lid behavior, removable bucket, and the room you have available.

Getting the most from it

Place it where its narrow profile can fit without blocking access, such as beside a bathroom vanity or in a tight corner. Press the pedal to open the lid without touching it, then let the soft-close mechanism lower it quietly. The lid can also be pushed to 90° and held open, which is handy while changing a bag or cleaning the inner bucket. For a quick bathroom cleanup, that means you can keep the lid open as you gather small pieces of waste, then close it when you’re done.

The removable inner bucket makes disposal and cleaning more straightforward than handling a fixed container. Its built-in bag-retaining hole is designed to keep the liner in place and hide excess edges, so the bag is less likely to look untidy around the rim. The fitted lid helps contain odors and covers the contents, it may also help keep pets from getting into the trash, though it is not described as a lockable lid.

Why it’s worth it

This can is aimed at people who need a covered bin in a cramped room, not a high-capacity kitchen wastebasket. Stainless steel with an anti-fingerprint finish gives the outside a more polished look, while the pedal combines a stainless steel tread with plastic construction. The listing states that the pedal was tested for up to 150,000 steps, treat that as the product’s stated test figure, not a guarantee of how long it will last in every home.

The practical appeal is the combination of a small footprint, hands-free access, and a removable bucket. You’ll appreciate it if you want bathroom trash out of sight without giving up much floor space. It may not suit you if you generate enough waste that a 1.6-gallon bin would need constant emptying, or if you need a larger container for bulky items. Its odor seal is a covered-lid design, not a claim that odors are eliminated entirely.

Key takeaways

• Slim 5.9-inch profile for bathrooms, bedrooms, offices, and other narrow spaces.
• 1.6-gallon capacity, with a soft-close lid that can stay open at 90°.
• Foot pedal opening, removable inner bucket, and a bag-retaining hole to help keep the liner neat.
• Stainless steel exterior with an anti-fingerprint finish, the pedal uses a stainless steel tread and plastic construction.

The main compromise is capacity: this layout saves space, but it is better suited to everyday small-room waste than to larger or bulky discards. The soft-close lid and odor-control design add convenience, while the removable bucket helps with the less pleasant part of owning any small trash can: emptying and cleaning it.

When it makes sense

Choose this TIPGO if a standard-width bin would crowd a bathroom or office and you want a pedal-operated, covered container that is easy to empty. It is also a reasonable fit when keeping the bag edge tucked away matters to the look of the room. If your priority is going longer between bag changes, choose a larger-capacity style instead, the compact dimensions here come with less room for waste. For a narrow spot and light daily use, the features address the everyday annoyances directly, but the small capacity is the deciding limitation.
