Tiffcofio TF-261A Outdoor Timer 2-Pack with Remote and Dusk-to-Dawn Sensor

Set patio or holiday lights to turn on at dusk and switch off automatically with the Tiffcofio TF-261A outdoor timer. Its light sensor handles the daily schedule, while the remote lets you choose a setting without operating the timer at the outlet.

Each timer has two grounded outlets for outdoor electrical devices. The product is rated for 15A and 1/2HP, giving you a practical way to schedule compatible lighting and other standard devices.

Choose from dusk-to-dawn operation, timed shutoff after dusk, or always-on and always-off settings. That range of options makes it useful for routines that call for more than a basic on/off timer.

Highlights

The digital timer offers eight functions: always on, always off, dusk-to-dawn, and dusk-on settings that switch off after 2, 4, 5, 6, or 8 hours. For example, select a timed setting for decorative lights that should run for part of the evening, or use dusk-to-dawn operation when you want the light sensor to manage the cycle.

A 2.4GHz RF remote is listed with a range of up to 100 feet. The timer is also described as waterproof, with an IP65 rating, and ETL listed. For outdoor installation, position it vertically at least 2 feet above the ground to support its waterproof performance.

Customers often describe the controls as easy to use and appreciate the range of timer settings, particularly for seasonal and backyard lighting. Feedback on the remote is mixed: some customers like its convenience, while others report shorter working distances, including around 20 feet. Reports about overall reliability are also divided, so the listed range is a product specification rather than a guaranteed result in every setup.

Best use cases

This two-pack suits outdoor lighting that benefits from an automatic schedule, such as patio, garden, or holiday lights. Dusk sensing avoids setting a clock-based start time, while the countdown options provide a defined evening run time. The two grounded outlets on each timer let you connect two devices at the same location.

Compared with a simple timer that follows a fixed schedule, this model adds light-sensor operation and remote selection of its settings. That combination is useful when the start time should follow dusk or when you want to change the mode from a distance.

How to use it

Plug compatible devices into the grounded outlets, then use the remote to select the function: always on, always off, dusk-to-dawn, or one of the dusk-start countdown periods. The timer operates at 120 volts and is rated for devices up to 15A. For outdoor use, install it vertically at least 2 feet above the ground, this positioning is part of the stated waterproof-use guidance.

Buying verdict

The Tiffcofio TF-261A is a useful fit for people who want scheduled outdoor lighting with more flexibility than a basic on/off timer. Its dusk sensor, five countdown choices, remote control, and two grounded outlets per timer make it especially suited to patio, garden, and seasonal lights that need a convenient evening routine.
