Swimara SWPA106U Ultra Series Pool Filter Cartridges, 425 sq. ft., 4-Pack

When seasonal pollen or fine debris builds up in a residential pool, the Swimara Ultra Series cartridges provide a filter replacement designed for heavier use. This four-pack gives pool owners a ready set of cartridges for compatible systems.

Each cartridge has 106 sq. ft. of filtration area, for 425 sq. ft. across the pack. The 5 oz/sq yd trilobal media is designed for high-use pools and demanding debris conditions, with fibers that help capture particles as small as 10 microns.

Molded PU end caps, a reinforced PP core, and retaining bands support secure seating and stable pleat spacing. That construction pairs heavy-duty media with structural support for the pleat pack.

Worth noting

These cartridges fit Hayward C4030 and C4025 filters, as well as same-size C4020, C4520, C4500, and C4000 models. Confirm the required filtration area for your system before choosing a replacement. The cartridges replace CX880XRE, CX880XREPAK4, PA106, PA106-PAK4, C-7488, C-7488-4, FC-1226, and FC-6430.

Each cartridge measures 7 in. in outside diameter by 25-1/2 in. long, with 3 in. open ends. The product is certified to NSF/ANSI 50. Compared with choosing a lighter-media replacement, this set is designed around heavier 5 oz/sq yd material for pools with frequent use, heavy pollen, or elevated fine debris.

Buyers often highlight the fit and everyday functionality, with some also noting durability. Those impressions can help inform a purchase, while the stated model fit and filtration area remain the practical points to match to your pool system.

Care & maintenance

Before cleaning, depressurize the filter and follow the system manual. Rinse the cartridge from top to bottom, and inspect it more often during periods of heavy pollen or frequent pool use. For Hayward C4030-series systems, clean when pressure rises 7–10 PSI above the clean starting pressure, for other systems, use the guidance in their manuals. These steps make it easier to maintain the filter according to the equipment’s operating instructions.

Best use cases

This four-pack is suited to owners of compatible Hayward filters who want replacement cartridges with a larger filtration area per cartridge and heavier trilobal media. It is particularly relevant for high-use residential pools and seasonal conditions with heavy pollen or fine debris. The 106 sq. ft. area per cartridge gives a clear basis for comparing replacement options: match the area and model fit first, then choose this heavier-media design when those use conditions are a priority.

For a practical replacement check, compare the filter’s model and required area with the compatibility details, then use the cartridge dimensions and open-end size to identify the matching format. This keeps the choice focused on fit and filtration area rather than on replacement-code names alone.

Final verdict

Swimara’s SWPA106U set brings together four 106 sq. ft. cartridges, 5 oz/sq yd trilobal media, and reinforced pleat-pack components. It suits pool owners with compatible Hayward systems who need replacement cartridges for regular, high-use operation or demanding seasonal debris conditions.
