SONGMICS Hammock Chair, 330.7 lb Capacity

For a reading corner, bedroom, or covered patio, a hanging chair can create a place to settle in without taking up the footprint of a full-size lounge seat. This SONGMICS hammock chair comes with two cushions and side pockets for small essentials.

Its listing describes breathable polyester-cotton fabric and a detachable steel pipe. The hanging chain, snap hook, and mounting accessories are included, though the mounting point still needs to suit your space.

One detail deserves attention before choosing: the product name lists a 330.7 lb capacity, while the description says it holds up to 330 lb. Those figures differ slightly, so check the current product information if the exact limit matters to you.

Technical details

The chair has a gray, bohemian-style design, two soft cushions, and a large pocket on each side. Those pockets can keep a phone, book, or water bottle close while you sit, rather than leaving everything on the floor. The fabric is described as breathable polyester-cotton, and a detachable 2-inch-diameter steel pipe supports the swing.

A metal hanging chain and snap hook are included, along with mounting accessories. The listing does not specify which ceiling, beam, or other support types those accessories fit, so the hardware alone does not confirm that a particular spot is suitable. Unlike a floor chair, this one also needs an overhead hanging point and clearance to move.

Getting the most from it

Think about where the chair will hang before buying: the listing names patios, balconies, living rooms, and bedrooms as possible locations. For example, in a bedroom reading corner, the side pocket can hold your phone while a cushion supports you as you sit and read. The cushions and storage make the setup more self-contained than a basic hanging seat, but they do not remove the need to plan the installation.

It suits you if you want a suspended place to relax, value nearby storage, and already have a suitable location in mind. It might not be a great match if you need a freestanding chair or cannot confirm that your chosen support and the supplied mounting hardware work together. The product information also does not give a specific outdoor-weather rating, so an exposed patio is a less certain choice than a protected spot.

Usage tips

Before hanging the chair, identify the support point and check that it is appropriate for a swing chair, the product details do not name compatible surfaces. Make sure there is room for the chair to move without hitting nearby furniture or a wall. Keep frequently used items in the side pockets, but avoid treating them as a substitute for a nearby table if you need more storage.

The detachable pipe may help when handling or storing the chair, but the listing does not explain a folding method or storage dimensions. If you plan to move it between indoor and outdoor locations, consider whether you want to repeat the installation rather than assuming the included accessories suit every spot.

Questions before you buy

Does the chair come with cushions? Yes. The listing includes two soft cushions.

Can it be used indoors and outdoors? The product is described for both settings, including living rooms, bedrooms, patios, and balconies. No weather rating is provided, so long-term exposure is not established by the listing.

What is the stated weight capacity? The product name says 330.7 lb, while the description says up to 330 lb. Since the figures do not match exactly, verify the applicable limit before relying on it.

Final verdict

This SONGMICS chair makes sense if you want a cushioned hanging seat with pockets and have a suitable place to mount it. Its included chain and accessories are useful, but they do not answer whether your specific support is compatible, and the capacity wording is inconsistent. Choose it for a planned, protected relaxation spot, look elsewhere if you need a freestanding seat, clear mounting guidance, or an unambiguous capacity figure.
