Chihee Cotton Hammock Chair with Woven Mesh, Collapsible Metal Spreader Bar

The open cotton-rope weave lets air pass through, making this hanging chair a breezy place to sit or recline. A built-in footrest gives you room to stretch your legs, while the metal spreader bar helps keep the seat open. Its natural white finish suits indoor and outdoor spaces. One detail to weigh: customer feedback on the chair’s size is mixed.

Highlights

Chihee’s hammock chair is handwoven from cotton rope in a ventilated mesh design. The loose weave and gentle sway make it suited to reading, relaxing, or taking a break on a porch or in a garden. The product dimensions are listed as 94.5"L x 31.5"W, and the spreader bar is described as 100 cm long. An integrated footrest adds a lounging option, while the collapsible bar makes the chair easier to store or move than a fixed-frame seat. A carrying bag is included.

The suspended design can also free up floor space compared with a conventional armchair, which may be useful in a small room or balcony. It still needs a suitable place to hang, such as a ceiling support or a stand, the product information does not specify mounting hardware or a weight limit.

How to use it

Hang the chair from a suitable support or stand, then use it as an upright seat or lean back to lounge. The spreader bar is described as having anti-slip poles to help keep the seat stable, and its collapsible design is intended to simplify storage and transport. The bag may be useful when moving the chair between rooms or taking it along on a trip. No cleaning or care instructions are provided, so avoid assuming that the cotton rope is machine washable or suitable for a particular cleaning method.

Everyday use

The airy weave is a practical fit for relaxed sitting in warm or breezy spaces, while the footrest makes it easier to change from sitting to stretching out. It can work as a reading spot indoors or as a hanging seat on a porch or in a garden, provided there is an appropriate support. Unlike a freestanding chair, it keeps the floor beneath it open, unlike a basic hanging seat without a footrest, it offers a place to extend your legs.

Buyer feedback is favorable about the appearance, flexibility, and range of sitting or lounging positions. Some customers also say setup is easy, though reports on ease of use are mixed. Opinions about size differ: some find it roomy, while others consider it small or tight for adults. The listed dimensions are useful context, but individual comfort will depend on how you plan to sit. You’ll appreciate it if you want a breathable woven seat that can be folded away when not in use. You may want to skip it if you need a fixed, floor-standing chair or require a confirmed weight capacity before choosing a hanging seat.

What to clarify

Does it include a stand? The product information describes hanging it from a ceiling or using a stand, but does not say that a stand is included.

Can it be stored between uses? The spreader bar is collapsible, and a carrying bag is listed as included.

Is it suitable for outdoor use? It is described for both indoor and outdoor settings, including porches and gardens, specific weather-care guidance is not provided.

When it makes sense

Choose this Chihee chair if you have a suitable hanging point and want an airy cotton seat with a footrest, a collapsible spreader bar, and a portable storage option. Its natural white color and open weave suit a casual reading or lounging spot without taking up the same floor footprint as a standard chair. If adult seating space is a priority, compare the listed dimensions with your needs and keep the mixed customer feedback on size in mind before deciding.
