Sondiko GJD420 Propane Weed Torch with 11.5-Foot Hose and Adjustable Flame
Product description
For outdoor weed control in hard-to-reach crevices, the Sondiko GJD420 combines a propane torch with an 11.5-foot hose. Its flame control is adjustable, and the propane tank is not included. The product is also described for tasks such as melting snow or ice and lighting fires, so it may suit buyers looking for a torch with uses beyond weed burning.
How it fits
This is a hose-connected propane weed burner intended for outside use, rather than a small torch designed primarily for close-up work. The longer hose gives some separation between the torch head and tank, while the adjustable control lets you change the flame setting. For a practical example, it can be considered for weeds growing in cracks where hand-pulling is awkward. The listing also describes other possible applications, including stump burning, soldering, and softening asphalt, those broader uses may appeal if you want one tool for occasional outdoor or workshop tasks.
A solid pick if your main need is a propane-powered torch for outdoor weed treatment and you already have a compatible tank. It’s not for you if you need the propane tank included, since the product name explicitly says it is not part of the package. Compared with a basic hand tool for removing weeds, this takes a flame-based approach, buyers who prefer manual removal or do not need a torch’s other listed applications may want a simpler tool instead.
Where it shines
The 11.5-foot hose and adjustable flame are the most decision-relevant details: one affects how the burner is connected and handled, and the other gives you control over the flame output. The product is made of alloy steel and weighs 3 pounds, which helps set expectations for handling compared with a smaller handheld torch. Its stated connection is a 7/8-inch-14 TPI male propane tank fitting, a useful detail to match against the tank you plan to use.
Customer feedback in the supplied summary praises the flame’s power, along with perceived quality and value. Those comments reflect buyer impressions rather than measured performance, so they are best treated as context, not a guarantee of results. One point to note is that the specifications list a maximum temperature of 2800°F, while the feature description separately states 1800°C. Since those figures are presented differently, avoid treating either as a precise operating target.

Final verdict
The Sondiko GJD420 is worth considering when you want a hose-connected propane weed burner with adjustable flame control and have a tank that matches its stated fitting. Its listed secondary uses may add appeal if you also need a torch for other tasks described by the manufacturer. The tank is a separate requirement, and the supplied temperature figures are not presented consistently, so those are the two details most likely to affect your decision.
