Soalmost Area Rug 5x7

If you’re choosing between a thick, plush rug and a flatter layer that can sit beneath furniture, this Soalmost area rug is designed for the second job. Its green-and-ivory abstract pattern, washable format, and low pile suit rooms where you want a softer surface without much height.

It’s intended for living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, and home offices. The tradeoff is simple: a 0.24-inch pile is easier to place under doors and furniture, but it won’t feel as deeply cushioned as a thicker rug.

Technical details

The rug measures 5x7 and has a green-and-ivory abstract design. Its low crystal pile is listed at 0.24 inches, with a soft-touch feel and stain-resistant construction. The backing is TPR and is described as non-slip, that feature may help the rug stay in place, though the listing doesn’t specify how it performs on different floor surfaces.

It’s also described as pet-friendly and virtually non-shedding. Those are useful qualities for a shared living space, but they don’t mean the rug is immune to marks or that it needs no upkeep. The washable design gives you a cleaning option beyond routine vacuuming, while the foldable format can make placement easier.

Everyday compatibility

The 5x7 size is intended to work as an area rug in a living room or bedroom, or beneath a dining table. Its low profile is also meant to fit under furniture and doors without blocking an entrance. For example, you could place it under a desk in a home office to soften the floor underfoot, or use it in a seating area to bring together an abstract green-and-ivory accent.

A solid pick if you want a washable rug with a relatively low profile for everyday rooms. Not the best choice if your priority is a thick, plush surface for extra cushioning. The listing doesn’t provide material composition beyond describing the rug as soft and stain-resistant, so shoppers looking for a specific fiber should bear that in mind.

Usage tips

Vacuum regularly for routine cleaning. For a deeper wash, the maker says to use cold water and mild detergent, then dry on the air-only setting. Check that your washing machine can accommodate a rug of this size before washing, no machine-capacity guidance is provided.

The rug may arrive with creases from folding. Smooth them out, lay it flat, and walk over the creased areas, the listing says they should fade within a few days. Give the rug room to settle before deciding whether its final appearance suits your space.

Questions before you buy

Can it go in a washing machine? The listing describes it as machine washable and recommends cold water with mild detergent, followed by air-only drying. It doesn’t specify washer capacity.

Is the backing non-slip? It has a TPR backing described as non-slip. Since floor type and conditions aren’t specified, don’t assume the same grip on every surface.

Will it arrive completely flat? It may have folds or creases at first. The care notes suggest smoothing it out and giving the creases a few days to fade.

Final verdict

This rug makes sense when you want a washable, low-pile accent for a living room, bedroom, dining area, or office, and the green-and-ivory abstract look fits your decor. Its stated 0.24-inch pile favors clearance and easy placement over plushness, so choose a thicker style instead if cushioning is the main reason you’re buying a rug.
