Area Rug 5x7

A bare entryway or a living room that needs a softer, more colorful focal point can call for a rug that’s easy to clean and stays put. This 5x7 area rug pairs a dark green botanical pattern with a low pile.

Its floral vines and red, yellow, and beige accents add a vintage, bohemian feel without relying on a plain solid color.

The washable design is aimed at everyday indoor use, including rooms where kids or pets spend time.

Key specifications

Size: 5x7. Pile: Low. Backing: Rubber, with a non-slip texture. Pattern: Forest-inspired floral vines on a deep green base with red, yellow, and beige accents. Care: Machine washable, the surface can also be cleaned with a vacuum, broom, or cloth. The product description does not specify a fiber, washing temperature, or drying method, so those details aren’t available on the spec sheet.

That low profile can be practical under furniture and in a busy walkway, while the soft surface is intended to feel comfortable under bare feet. The rubber backing is designed to help limit shifting, but the description doesn’t identify specific floor types or guarantee the same grip on every surface. For cleaning, a quick pass with a vacuum or cloth may suit routine dust and debris, machine washing offers another option when a more thorough clean is needed, subject to the care instructions.

Who it’s for

It makes sense if you want a patterned rug for an entryway, bedroom, dining room, living room, or home office, and prefer botanical color over a minimal, neutral look. The washable construction and stated resistance to hair buildup may also appeal in a pet-friendly home. Picture it beside a sofa or under a desk, adding a dark green accent while keeping the floor relatively easy to vacuum.

It might not be a great match if you’re looking for a thick, deeply cushioned rug or need confirmed care instructions for a particular washer. The listing describes the materials as skin-friendly and non-toxic, but doesn’t name the fibers or provide supporting detail, so shoppers who need specific material information may want a more clearly documented option.

Everyday use

This rug is positioned as a practical middle ground between a delicate decorative carpet and a plain, basic mat: it brings a noticeable floral design while offering everyday cleaning options and a low pile. In a high-traffic spot, that profile should be easier to vacuum than a deeper, shaggy style, though it won’t provide the same plush feel. Its non-slip backing is a helpful feature for reducing movement, but it shouldn’t replace care around slippery floors or loose rug edges.

Practical doubts

Can it be machine washed? The product description says it is machine washable, but gives no cycle, temperature, or drying instructions. Follow the care guidance supplied with the rug.

Does it have a non-slip backing? Yes. The backing is described as rubber with a textured, non-slip layer intended to reduce shifting.

Is the rug suitable for homes with pets or children? It is presented as kid- and pet-friendly, with a surface designed to resist hair buildup. Specific fiber details and independent safety information aren’t provided.

Is it worth it?

This rug is worth considering if the main priorities are a dark botanical look, a low-pile feel, and more than one way to handle everyday dirt. It offers a more decorative alternative to a basic solid mat while avoiding the deeper pile that can be harder to vacuum. Skip it if plush cushioning, named material details, or precise washing guidance matter more than pattern and easy-care features, those are the gaps in the available product information.
