Smoke: The Enigma Series, Book 1 Audiobook by Aja, Unabridged
Product description
An unabridged audiobook with a listening length of 4 hours and 3 minutes, Smoke brings the opening installment of The Enigma Series into a format that fits a dedicated listening session or a stretch of time when reading isn’t practical.
Written by Aja, this first book is listed in romantic suspense and Black and African American mystery, thriller, and suspense categories. Those genre cues make it a natural pick for listeners looking for a story that brings romance together with suspense.
Rather than choosing a standalone title, listeners can start here with book one of a four-book series and follow the story into its subsequent installments.
Best use cases
Choose Smoke when you want an audiobook that combines romantic elements and suspense in one story. Its 4-hour-and-3-minute length gives you a clear sense of the listening commitment, whether you prefer to settle in for a focused session or split the story across several occasions.
As the first book in The Enigma Series, it also suits listeners who like beginning a series from its opening installment. That makes it a useful choice when you want a new story to continue with, rather than a single audiobook with no listed series connection. If your priority is a mystery or thriller with a romantic dimension, its genre placement offers a helpful guide to the kind of reading experience it aims to provide.
What stands out
The audiobook is unabridged, so the format presents the complete book rather than an abridged version. Customers describe the storyline as interesting and suspenseful, and mention enjoying its romantic and steamy elements. They also respond positively to the characters and writing style. Some listeners have mixed feelings about Smoke’s character, so reactions to him are not uniform, the broader appeal described by customers centers on the engaging story and the romance alongside its suspense.
That mix can help you decide between two different listening moods: a straightforward suspense story, or one where romantic tension and character relationships share the spotlight. Smoke is positioned in the latter space. The audiobook format makes it possible to follow the story without holding a print or digital book, while the unabridged presentation preserves the complete book in audio.
