SmilePowo SPME Melamine Cleaning Sponges, 50-Pack for Multi-Surface Cleaning

For wiping marks from bathroom tile or a kitchen surface, the SmilePowo SPME melamine sponges are designed to work with water alone. The pack contains 50 white foam sponges, and each can be cut to fit a smaller cleaning area. That makes them a different choice from a reusable cloth or a conventional scrub pad: they focus on targeted mark removal rather than general wiping.

What matters most

The main appeal is the combination of melamine foam and water-only use. Wet a sponge, squeeze out excess water, and wipe the area, the product description says no separate cleaning agent is needed. Suggested uses range from tubs, floors, walls, and baseboards to kitchen items, shoes, and car interiors. Those examples describe a broad range, not a guarantee that every surface is suitable.

The listing recommends leather as a surface, but also warns against use on skin and on shiny polished surfaces such as cars and PC screens. It advises against hard scrubbing. Follow those cautions, and test an inconspicuous spot first when the surface is unfamiliar. It’s a great fit if you want a pack of small, water-activated sponges for occasional marks around the home. A cloth may make more sense for routine dusting or wiping larger areas.

Buyer feedback is positive about cleaning marks and soap scum, but opinions on quality are mixed. Some buyers find the sponges useful across different surfaces, while others say they come apart quickly or feel smaller and thinner than expected. That difference matters if you’re choosing them for repeated, heavy scrubbing rather than spot cleaning.

Cleaning & care

The suggested care is simple: soak the sponge in water after use so residue can rinse out, then reuse it. The maker also says the foam can be cut to a preferred shape, which may help reach narrow corners. In practice, a cut piece is most useful for a small area, for a larger job, keeping a full sponge intact may be easier to handle. Buyer reports of pieces breaking down quickly make longevity less certain, so don’t assume each sponge will last through extensive cleaning.

Tips for day-to-day use

Start with a damp sponge and light pressure, rather than treating it like a coarse scrubber. Use it on a small test area before moving to a visible section, especially on finishes that could be sensitive to abrasion. Keep it away from polished car surfaces and computer screens, as the product specifically lists those as unsuitable. For a soap mark on a tub or a scuff on a wall, a small, controlled pass is a more appropriate use than aggressive scrubbing over an entire surface.

What to clarify

Do these sponges require a cleaning solution? The product directions say to use water only, no separate cleaner is required.

Can a sponge be cut to size? Yes. The description says the foam can be cut into smaller shapes for narrow areas or corners.

Are they suitable for every surface? No. The listing cautions against polished surfaces such as car paint and PC screens, and says not to scrub hard or use the sponge on skin.

When it makes sense

Choose the SmilePowo SPME pack if you want a supply of water-activated melamine sponges for small household cleanup tasks and value having multiple pieces available. It might not be a great match if you need a scrubber with dependable long-term durability: buyer feedback includes reports of quick wear and mixed impressions of size and thickness. For routine wiping, a cloth is the simpler approach, for targeted marks, these sponges offer a more focused format, with surface care and gentle pressure still important.
