Product description
For homeowners and building managers who need a 20x25x4 filter for an HVAC system, the Simply S-08-04-20254 combines MERV 8 filtration with a pleated design in a four-pack. It is made to capture dust, mold, pet dander, and pollen, helping address common airborne particles in homes, offices, schools, and commercial spaces.
The listed size is nominal, the actual dimensions are 19.5 x 24.5 x 3.63 inches. Check those measurements against the filter your system uses, then follow the airflow arrows during installation. This makes it easier to select the right size and orient the filter correctly.
Key takeaways
Each filter is rated MERV 8 and uses pleated media with a higher pleat count than most retail filters, providing more capture coverage while optimizing airflow and filtration efficiency. The product is designed to capture 90% of airborne particles. A four-pack provides replacement filters for ongoing HVAC maintenance, with filtration lasting up to three months per filter.
The filters are made in the USA using 100% American components, including recycled materials. They are intended for HVAC and furnace applications, including central units and return grilles. The product description names broad brand compatibility but specifically excludes Honeywell systems.
Quick sizing guide
The 20x25x4 label is the nominal size. For a precise fit, compare your system’s required filter dimensions with the actual measurement: 19.5 x 24.5 x 3.63 inches. This distinction matters when replacing a filter, since the nominal label and the filter’s physical size are different. Customer feedback commonly highlights easy installation, while fit and sizing experiences vary, making the actual dimensions useful when selecting a replacement.
Usage tips
Install the filter in the HVAC or furnace filter slot, or in the return grille, with the airflow arrows pointing in the direction of airflow. The arrows help orient the filter correctly during replacement. The pleated construction is designed to capture dust, mold, pet dander, and pollen as air moves through the system, making this MERV 8 option suitable for routine filtration in residential and shared indoor spaces.
Plan to replace each filter according to the stated service interval of up to three months. Customer comments often describe the filters as easy to install and effective in everyday use, reports about fit are mixed. Checking the actual dimensions before placing a replacement helps match the filter to the intended slot.
