Silonn SLICM81B-US-14 Countertop Ice Maker with Expandable Basket

An expandable, spring-loaded ice basket gives this Silonn countertop ice maker room to collect more ice as it produces it, reducing the need to empty the basket as often. It makes bullet ice in about 6 minutes and can produce up to 26 pounds per day, making it useful for everyday drinks as well as gatherings.

Choose between two ice sizes for different drinks: larger pieces suit cocktails and beer, while smaller pieces can cool coffee, juice, and soda. The carry handle and compact countertop footprint also make it practical to move between a kitchen, patio setup, or RV.

Where it shines

For a party or family gathering, the expandable basket holds up to 2 pounds of ice—up to 6 cups—so there is more ready to scoop between rounds of drinks. The machine can make up to 26 pounds over a day, while its 1.2L water tank supplies water for ice production. Indicator lights signal when the water is low or the basket is full, making it easier to keep track of when attention is needed.

The two size settings help match ice to the occasion. Use larger bullet ice for beer and cocktails, or choose smaller pieces to cool coffee, juice, and soda. If you are choosing between countertop ice production and filling freezer trays ahead of time, this unit offers a compact way to make fresh ice in batches when you need it. Its handle makes carrying the machine more convenient for moving it to a patio or an RV setup.

Quick overview

The Silonn SLICM81B-US-14 measures 8.73 inches deep, 11.41 inches wide, and 11.56 inches high, so it is sized for a countertop, kitchen island, office, or dorm room. The spring-loaded basket expands as the ice collects, and the scoop stores on the basket for easy access. Together, these details make serving and collecting ice straightforward without setting aside a separate place for the scoop.

Operation is simple: add water, press the ON button, and select an ice size. Each batch is ready in about 6 minutes, and the full-day production capacity is up to 26 pounds. That combination suits homes that want ice available for daily beverages and occasional entertaining, without making a larger fixed ice maker the center of the setup.

Maintenance

The self-cleaning cycle offers a simple way to freshen the machine between uses. Add water, press and hold the Clean button for 5 seconds, then allow the 30-minute cycle to finish. This process helps reduce buildup and keep the ice maker clean. Manual cleaning is also an option for hands-on care. The low-water and full-basket indicators provide useful prompts during operation, so you can refill the tank or collect ice when needed.

Buying verdict

Choose this Silonn model when countertop convenience, two ice sizes, and a basket that expands during production matter more than a fixed installation. It brings together a carry handle for moving the unit, a stored scoop for serving, and a self-cleaning cycle for routine care. For everyday drinks, a small gathering, or an RV trip with a suitable countertop setup, it offers a practical way to make bullet ice close to where it will be used.
