SHIDU Voice Amplifier, 5200mAh

What matters most

The combination of a headset microphone and a handheld mic is the standout here: you can speak hands-free while teaching, then switch to a handheld mic when you want to pass it to someone else. The SHIDU is a portable voice amplifier with 35W output and a stated 50W peak, aimed at making spoken instructions easier to hear in classrooms, tours, fitness sessions, and other group settings.

It also doubles as a small media player. Bluetooth 5.0, TF card, USB, and AUX support let you play audio through the speaker, while a 3.5mm port accepts a wired mic. The listing claims coverage up to 19,800 sq. ft. and 240 people, but those figures shouldn’t be treated as a guarantee for every room, layout, distance, and background noise can affect how clearly a voice carries.

Best use cases

This setup makes the most sense when you need to move around while addressing a group. Picture leading a class, walking along a tour route, or demonstrating an exercise: the headset keeps your hands free, while the speaker handles the amplification. The included handheld microphone offers another way to speak, though the product details don’t explain how the two microphones are controlled or switched.

A solid pick if you want voice amplification and music playback in one portable unit. Someone who only needs a simple speaker for occasional announcements may prefer a more basic setup, someone who needs detailed information about mounting, dimensions, or weather resistance won’t find those details here. From the way it is set up, microphone placement matters: don’t point it at the speaker grille, and keep some distance when raising the volume to reduce feedback.

Tips for day-to-day use

The 5200mAh rechargeable battery is listed for up to 15 hours of amplification or 8 hours of music playback, with a stated 3-hour charging time. Those are different use cases, so consider which one better matches a typical day. For a long class or tour, charging beforehand is a sensible routine, especially if you expect to play music as well as speak.

Pair a phone, or use a TF card or USB drive, when you want background audio or a recorded lesson. AUX provides another wired audio option. DSP noise reduction is included, but it shouldn’t be taken to mean that the unit will erase loud gym or outdoor noise. Keep the mic positioned away from the speaker and test the volume before addressing a group, the product notes feedback can occur if the microphone is aimed at the grille.

Practical doubts

Can you use it without holding a microphone? Yes. The package description includes a wireless headset microphone as well as a handheld wireless microphone.

Can it play music from a phone? Bluetooth 5.0 is listed for wireless audio, and the unit also supports TF card, USB, and AUX playback.

How long does the battery last? The stated maximum is up to 15 hours for amplification and up to 8 hours for music. Actual runtime may differ by use, and the listing doesn’t specify a combined runtime for both at once.

Final verdict

This SHIDU portable PA system is aimed at people who need to be heard while moving, with two microphone styles, several audio inputs, and separate stated runtimes for voice and music. You may want to skip it if you need confirmed room-specific coverage, weather resistance, or detailed physical dimensions before choosing, those details aren’t provided. If your priority is a wearable mic plus a speaker for lessons, tours, or coaching, its feature set is relevant, provided you can work around microphone placement to limit feedback.
