Sedioso S-2024 Large Plush Dog Toy, Brown Hippo with Squeaker

For a game of fetch in the living room or a squeaky play break, the Sedioso S-2024 is a plush hippo toy made for dogs. Its soft stuffed shape gives dogs something to carry and mouth during play.

A built-in squeaker adds sound when the toy is bitten, and the brown Uni-Hippo design makes it easy to recognize among a dog’s toys. The listing describes it as a large toy for all breed sizes, including puppies.

The maker also describes cotton-woven legs and an inner waterproof layer. But is a plush toy the right match for a dog that likes to chew hard? The maker specifically advises against it for extremely strong biters.

Highlights

This is a stuffed plush toy with a hippo shape and a built-in sound bladder. That combination is aimed at interactive play: toss it for a short fetch game, or let your dog engage with the squeak during supervised play. It is also described as washable by hand or machine, which may be useful for a toy that gets carried around indoors. The instructions say to let it dry and to take it away if it becomes damaged.

Buyer feedback is positive about dogs enjoying the toy and finding it playful and cute. Durability is less consistent: some buyers say it lasts longer than other soft toys, while others report that it comes apart quickly. Reports about the squeaker are also mixed. Those varied experiences matter more than the “durable” label if your dog tends to tear through plush toys.

Practical tips

Use the squeak and lightweight plush form for brief play sessions, fetching, or interactive time together. The listing mentions cotton-woven legs and a waterproof inner layer, but those details do not make the toy indestructible. Check it during play, especially if your dog chews rather than carries or tosses toys, and remove it if it is damaged.

The product is intended for indoor use and is listed as suitable for all life stages and breed sizes. “Large” is the stated size, but the supplied dimension details conflict, so they do not provide a reliable basis for comparing its physical size with another toy. If fit matters, use the product’s listed size category as a general guide rather than assuming a precise measurement.

Best use cases

It suits you if you want a soft, squeaky toy for indoor interaction, light fetch, or a dog that enjoys carrying plush toys. Compared with a basic non-squeaking plush toy, the sound gives dogs another point of interest during play. Compared with a tougher chew-focused toy, this one is still a stuffed plush design, so it is better approached as a plaything than as a solution for persistent chewing.

It might not be a great match if your dog is an especially strong chewer. The maker says it is not recommended for extreme biters, and buyer reports also vary on how well it holds up to chewing. Squeak performance is not a sure thing either: some buyers enjoy the sound, while others say the squeaker is absent or less engaging than expected.

Final verdict

The Sedioso S-2024 is most appealing for dogs that enjoy soft, character-shaped toys and sound during indoor play. Its hippo design, plush construction, and washable-care instructions make it a straightforward choice for supervised games and everyday engagement. Treat durability as uncertain rather than guaranteed, particularly for dogs that chew aggressively, a purpose-built tougher chew toy is a more suitable approach for that play style.
