Schneider Black Nitrile Gloves, 5-Mil Disposable, Latex-Free and Powder-Free

Pros

For exam rooms, kitchens, and workstations that need disposable hand coverage, these Schneider black nitrile gloves offer a 5-mil construction and textured fingertips. They are latex-free and powder-free. The stated uses range from non-sterile examinations to food prep and cleaning, so one box can suit several routine tasks.

Buyers often praise the grip, comfort, and ease of putting the gloves on and taking them off. Some also describe them as durable during household cleaning. Feedback on fit is mixed, though, so the available size range is useful but does not guarantee that a particular size will feel right for every hand.

Key features

The nitrile material is designed to help resist punctures, rips, and tears, while remaining flexible. At 5 mil, these gloves are positioned for more demanding everyday tasks than a minimal-use option, without being described as sterile. Textured fingertips are intended to support handling instruments, tools, and small items in wet or dry conditions. The black color may also suit workplaces where a dark glove appearance is preferred and can help hide stains.

The gloves are listed for examination use, food handling, cleaning, hair coloring, tattoo work, and other general tasks. That range makes them worth considering for a home kitchen or cleaning station as well as a workplace that uses disposable gloves for more than one purpose. They come in sizes S, M, L, and XL, with 50-count, 100-count, and 1000-count pack options. Pack size can be matched to how often the gloves are used and how many stations need stocking.

Usage tips

Choose a size based on the wearer rather than the intended task: the product is offered from S through XL, but buyer feedback on fit is not uniform. If several people will use the gloves, selecting sizes for the actual users may be more practical than assuming one size will suit everyone. For food prep, cleaning, or care tasks, keep the use case in mind and change gloves as the task requires, the provided information does not specify a change schedule.

These are powder-free, latex-free, non-sterile gloves. That distinction matters when selecting gloves for an examination or other procedure: they are not presented as sterile. It makes sense if you want disposable nitrile coverage for a mix of routine tasks and value textured fingertips. Better avoided if the job specifically requires sterile gloves.

Questions before you buy

Are these gloves latex-free and powder-free? Yes. The product information describes them as both, which may help shoppers seeking to avoid natural rubber latex or loose powder residue.

Can they be used for food prep? Food handling and food preparation are among the listed uses. The information does not provide additional food-contact certifications or instructions, so follow the requirements that apply to your particular setting.

How should you choose a size? Sizes S, M, L, and XL are available. Buyers report differing experiences with fit, so consider who will wear them before choosing a size or pack quantity.

Buying verdict

Schneider’s 5-mil black nitrile gloves are a practical candidate when you want one disposable option for non-sterile exam use and everyday tasks such as cleaning or food prep. Their latex-free, powder-free design and textured fingertips are the main decision points, multiple sizes and pack counts add flexibility for different usage levels. Choose them for general-purpose coverage, not when a sterile glove is required, and treat fit as a personal consideration rather than a certainty.
