rumlick HDC-1153 75 x 40-Inch Grill Mat, Double-Sided Fiberglass

Key takeaways

At 75 x 40 inches, this rumlick grill mat gives a wide area of coverage beneath an outdoor grill. Its fiberglass construction has a heat-resistant coating on both sides, while the silicone-coated surface repels water and oil. That combination helps catch grease, food residue, and spills before they reach a deck, patio, or lawn. The mat is also foldable for storage and transport.

Rated for heat resistance up to 2000°F, it is designed to help protect surfaces from flying embers and hot grease. Use it beneath a grill or as a protective layer around a fire pit or fireplace, keeping the mat at least 10 inches from the fire source and never building a fire directly on it. Compared with a smaller grill pad, its 75 x 40-inch footprint covers a broader area around the cooking setup.

Care tips

Oil, water, food residue, and dust stay on the silicone-coated surface, making cleanup straightforward after cooking. Wipe the mat with a damp cloth or rinse it with a hose to remove residue. Let the surface dry before folding it away for storage. The waterproof, oil-resistant finish supports repeated outdoor use and helps keep splashes from soaking through to the area beneath.

Tips for day-to-day use

Place the mat flat under the grill, with enough coverage beneath the areas where grease and food debris may fall. Keep it at least 10 inches from flames or other fire sources, the heat-resistant coating is intended for protection from embers and hot grease, not direct fire contact. After grilling, remove residue with a cloth or hose, then fold the mat when it is dry for easier storage or transport.

Its portable, foldable design also makes it useful for camping and other outdoor cooking setups. It can serve as a protective mat around a fire pit or fireplace as well, provided it is positioned with the same safe distance from the fire. Buyers commonly highlight its wide coverage, easy cleanup, and use beneath Blackstone griddles, including 36-inch models. These are customer impressions, while the 75 x 40-inch dimensions make it easy to judge the coverage for your own setup.

Buying verdict

A solid pick if you want broad coverage beneath an outdoor grill and a surface that is simple to clean after greasy or messy cooking. The double-sided heat-resistant coating, waterproof and oil-resistant silicone finish, and foldable format bring practical protection and storage convenience together. For patio, deck, lawn, or camping use, this mat offers a spacious base for managing grill splatter and catching debris while keeping the fire source at a safe distance.
