RUIKORING RK-AL21x6 8.5-Inch Under-Cabinet Lights, 6-Pack, Motion Sensor

Strengths

A built-in motion sensor turns these RUIKORING lights on when movement is detected in a dark area, bringing hands-free illumination to cabinets, closets, and walkways. Each 8.5-inch light has 48 LEDs and offers three color temperatures—white, natural, and warm—so you can choose a tone that suits the task, from finding pantry items to adding light beside a bed.

The six rechargeable lights are dimmable and have both motion-activated and always-on modes. Their magnetic backing makes them easy to remove for charging, while adhesive metal plates provide a mounting option on nonmetal surfaces. Need lighting that works for quick trips through a dark hallway as well as hands-on kitchen tasks? The two modes make it easy to adapt.

Highlights

Choose among 5800K white, 4200K natural, and 3200K warm light, then adjust brightness with stepless dimming. The motion sensor detects movement within a 120-degree angle and up to 15 feet in dark environments, in motion mode, the light switches off after 15 seconds without activity. When you need continuous illumination, select always-on mode instead.

Use the set beneath kitchen cabinets for countertop tasks, inside closets and storage areas to see what you’re reaching for, or along indoor stairs and hallways for convenient nighttime lighting. Buyers often praise the brightness, motion activation, magnetic mounting, and range of lighting settings. Feedback on time between charges is mixed, so actual charging frequency can vary with use and mode.

How to use it

Mount each light on a magnetic surface or attach an adhesive metal plate to a suitable nonmetal surface. For adhesive mounting, clean and dry the area, use a flat surface, and press the plate firmly for 20 seconds. Space lights apart, avoid aiming them directly at one another, and keep them at least 4 inches from an edge. Keep the lights away from hot stoves and other heat sources.

Recharge the built-in 1500mAh battery through the USB-C charging connection, two 3-in-1 charging cables are included, along with adhesive metal plates and an instruction manual. The lights are intended for indoor use and are not water-resistant, so choose a dry location. For charging, use a 5V 1A, 5V 2A, or higher-output adapter.

Buying verdict

This six-light set suits shoppers who want flexible, cordless task and pathway lighting rather than a single fixed fixture. Motion activation helps light areas as you approach, while dimming, three color temperatures, and an always-on option make the same lights useful for different routines. Choose it for indoor cabinets, closets, counters, and other dry spaces where rechargeable, removable lighting is practical.
