Rubies 702006 Leonardo Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Costume for Kids

The padded top and removable shell give this Leonardo costume a recognizable Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles look for dress-up events. It includes pants with attached boot covers and a half-mask, so the main costume pieces come together in one set. The listed size is boys’ medium (8–10). Costume sizing runs smaller than regular apparel, so use the Rubies child size chart when choosing a fit.

Technical overview

• Model: 702006
• Size: Boys’ medium (8–10)
• Costume pieces: Padded top, pants with attached boot covers, shell, and half-mask
• Closure: Hook-and-loop back closure
• Shell: Removable and stuffable
• License: Officially licensed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo costume

The size note matters because costume sizing may not match the child’s everyday clothing size. The product information points shoppers to Rubies’ child size chart for guidance, it does not provide garment measurements here. The back closure is hook-and-loop, and the shell can be removed, giving the outfit some flexibility for dressing and storage. Its half-mask provides the character detail without being a full-face mask.

Everyday use

This set is intended for Halloween, themed parties, festivals, cosplay events, and other dress-up occasions. For a party, the pants’ attached boot covers help complete the costume look without adding separate boot-cover pieces to the listed set. At home, the removable shell can be taken off when a child wants to wear the rest of the outfit for play. These are practical features for a character costume, rather than a general-purpose clothing set.

It’s a great fit if the goal is a coordinated Leonardo outfit with the main character elements included. Compared with assembling a look from separate clothing and accessories, this set groups the top, pants, shell, and mask together. Better avoided if you need sizing that follows everyday apparel exactly: the product notes that costumes run smaller, so the size chart is an important part of choosing. No garment measurements are provided in the listing details.

Box contents

The listed contents are a padded top, pants with attached boot covers, a removable stuffable shell, and a half-mask. The description does not list additional accessories, so don’t assume separate footwear or other character props are included. The shell is designed to be stuffed, but the provided details do not specify whether stuffing material comes with it.

Practical questions

How should you choose a size? The listed option is boys’ medium (8–10). Since costume sizing runs smaller than regular apparel, consult the Rubies child size chart rather than relying only on a child’s usual clothing size.

Can the shell be removed? Yes. The shell is described as removable and stuffable, so it can be taken off the costume.

What occasions is it for? The product details name Halloween, themed parties, festivals, and cosplay events, as well as general dress-up.

Is it worth it?

This costume makes sense when the priority is a ready-to-wear Leonardo character outfit with a padded top, matching pants, shell, and half-mask in the same set. Its clearest buying consideration is fit: the only listed size is boys’ medium (8–10), and the manufacturer notes that costume sizing runs smaller than apparel. If that size works after checking the chart, the included pieces provide a straightforward alternative to sourcing each part separately. If you need a different size or specific fit measurements, those details are not established in the available product information.
