Retractable Garden Hose Reel, 100 ft

Dragging a long hose around the yard can make watering beds and rinsing patio furniture feel like a chore. This wall-mounted retractable reel is designed to keep a 100 ft hose stored neatly, lock it at the length you need, and rewind it with a slower return system when you’re done.

Its 180° swivel helps the hose follow you around the mounting point, while the included 9-pattern nozzle gives you different spray options for everyday outdoor tasks.

Key specifications

The hose measures 5/8 inch x 100 ft and uses a hybrid rubber-polyethylene construction. The reel is described as UV resistant, with brass fittings and a working pressure rating of 200 PSI, its stated burst resistance is 500 PSI. Those figures describe the product’s listed ratings, not a guarantee that every installation or use will perform the same way.

For handling, the reel has an auto-lock feature intended to hold the hose at any length, an anti-jam spring, and a pulley guide to help reduce tangles during storage. The slow-return system is described as 50% slower than others, though the comparison basis isn’t provided. The wall mount swivels 180°, and the nozzle offers nine spray patterns. Without having tried it, the practical point to weigh is that the convenience depends on having a suitable place to mount the reel.

Who it’s for

This setup is aimed at people who regularly water a yard or garden and want the hose off the ground between uses. It makes sense if you’d rather pull out only the length you need than coil a long hose by hand after watering. For example, you could extend it toward a row of planters, pause at the spot you need, then guide it back when you finish.

The 100 ft reach and swivel may help when several areas sit around one mounting point. A shorter, portable hose may be easier to move or store if you don’t want a fixed wall-mounted setup. Not the best choice if you have nowhere suitable to mount it or would rather avoid installing a reel.

Everyday use

The auto-lock is intended to stop the hose at a chosen length, so you don’t have to pull out the full run for a small watering job. The nozzle’s nine patterns provide options for different tasks, from watering plants to rinsing outdoor surfaces, the description doesn’t specify the names or flow rates of those patterns.

The slower rewind and pulley guide are meant to make storage more controlled and reduce tangling. Even so, this remains a retractable wall-mounted reel, not a hose you can freely carry around the property. The listing also doesn’t give mounting hardware details, so check what’s supplied and whether your wall or other mounting surface is appropriate before choosing it.

Questions before you buy

Can the hose lock at different lengths? The product description says its auto-lock system holds the hose at any length, allowing you to extend only what you need.

What spray options are included? The product is described with a 9-pattern nozzle. Specific pattern names aren’t provided.

Does the reel swivel? Yes. Its mounting base is listed as swiveling 180° to help the hose reach around the mounting point.

Final verdict

Choose this reel if a long hose, automatic storage, and a wall-mounted setup fit the way you water. The lock, swivel, and slow-return design address common hassles with pulling out and putting away a hose, while the nine-pattern nozzle adds flexibility for outdoor chores. Its main tradeoff is the fixed installation: if you need a portable hose or don’t have a suitable mounting spot, a simpler non-retractable hose may suit your setup better.
