Relcolor 245XL 246XL Ink Cartridge 2-Pack for Canon, Black and Tri-Color

Key points

For printing everyday documents and color pages at home, the Relcolor 245XL/246XL combo pairs one black cartridge with one tri-color cartridge. The XL format provides a high-yield replacement set for compatible Canon inkjet printers. It includes a user guide to support setup.

The black 245XL cartridge yields up to 500 pages, and the tri-color 246XL yields up to 350 pages, based on 5% coverage. Actual page yield depends on how much ink each page uses. Buying both colors as a set is a straightforward alternative to choosing black and color cartridges separately, with each cartridge serving a different part of the print job. These are compatible replacement cartridges for Canon PG-245 and CL-246 cartridge types.

Everyday use

Use the black cartridge for text-heavy pages and the tri-color cartridge for documents or images that need color. Together, they suit a home printer used for forms, schoolwork, reference pages, and other routine paper printing. The set contains one 245XL black cartridge and one 246XL tri-color cartridge, so both ink colors are available in the same purchase.

Before installing, match your printer to the compatible model list. The cartridges work with Canon PIXMA iP2820, MX490, MX492, MG2420, MG2520, MG2522, MG2525, MG2555, MG2920, MG2922, MG2924, MG3020, MG3022, MG3029, TS202, TS302, TS3100, TS3120, TS3122, TS3129, TS3300, TS3320, TS3322, TR4520, TR4522, and TR4527 printers. Checking the model name on your printer helps you select the right replacement before starting a print job.

Best use cases

This combo makes sense when a compatible Canon printer needs both black and color ink replacements. For example, a household printing a mix of written assignments and color charts can use the black cartridge for text and the tri-color cartridge for the visual elements. The two-cartridge format also suits users who want to replenish both ink types together rather than shop for each separately.

The stated page yields help set expectations when comparing cartridge packs: the black cartridge is rated for up to 500 pages and the tri-color for up to 350 pages, with both figures based on 5% coverage. Pages with more extensive color or ink coverage use ink differently, so the actual number of pages varies with what you print.
