puredown PI-15002-F 22 x 22 Feather-Down Throw Pillow Inserts, 2-Pack

These 22 x 22-inch puredown inserts come as a pair, sized for square throw pillow covers on a couch, bed, or favorite reading chair.

A blend of 95% gray feathers and 5% gray down gives each insert a plush feel with a feather-filled core. The white polyester cover and square shape make them a versatile base for decorative pillows.

Choose these inserts when you want to style your own covers rather than select a finished accent pillow. They also suit spaces where extra cushioning and a fuller decorative look can serve both comfort and style.

The essentials

Each insert measures 22 x 22 inches and has a plush firmness. The feather-and-down filling can be fluffed and reshaped, so you can adjust its appearance after unpacking or regular use. A tightly woven, breathable polyester cover is designed to help limit feathers poking through while allowing airflow.

The pair works well for coordinating pillows across a sofa or bed, or for adding a soft accent to a guest room or reading nook. For a more filled-out look, the manufacturer recommends choosing an insert 1–2 inches larger than its pillow cover. Buyers often praise the soft feel and how easily the inserts fluff up, feedback on size and fullness varies, and some say they flatten when used for sitting. That makes them particularly suited to decorative styling and extra comfort on furniture.

Care tips

The inserts are machine washable. After washing, tumble dry on low until thoroughly dry, the manufacturer suggests a low-heat tumble for about 10–15 minutes to help restore loft. Pat and shape the pillow on all sides after unpacking to distribute the filling evenly. Regular fluffing and airing, along with a pillow protector, can help maintain the inserts between washes.

Practical tips

For a living room refresh, place the pair on a couch in coordinating covers to bring a consistent square shape to the seating area. In a bedroom, they can add a decorative layer while offering soft support when sitting up to read. The insert format gives you flexibility to choose covers that suit the room, while the feather-and-down fill offers a different feel from selecting a finished accent pillow. Use the cover size and the desired fullness as your guide when choosing how to style them.
