Poly Blackwire 3225 wired headset — noise-canceling mic

This stereo wired headset from Poly brings clear voice pickup and flexible connectivity for everyday work calls and multimedia. It combines a noise-canceling microphone with dynamic EQ to keep speech intelligible during conference calls, and connects to PCs, Macs, and mobile devices using USB-C, USB-A adapter, or a 3.5 mm jack for flexible use at the desk or on the go.

Key Points

The Blackwire 3225 has a lightweight metal headband that balances durability with comfort during long hours of use. On-cable controls let you answer and end calls, mute the mic, and adjust volume without switching apps. Compatibility includes major collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, which makes joining meetings straightforward. Consider that the microphone reduces background noise but may not remove all ambient sounds in very noisy environments.

Benefits

Clearer speech is the main benefit for remote meetings and calls because the dynamic equalization optimizes voice quality automatically according to the manufacturer. Stereo sound offers a better listening experience for multimedia and training content, and the inline controls reduce interruptions when you need to manage calls quickly. The included USB-A adapter means the headset works with older computers as well as modern USB-C devices.

Usage Recommendations

When using the headset for back-to-back calls, adjust the headband for a secure fit to reduce pressure over time. Plug into USB-C for the simplest setup on newer laptops and switch to the 3.5 mm connection for mobile devices that lack USB audio support. For the best voice clarity in shared spaces, position the boom close to your mouth and mute the mic when not speaking.
