PlushDeluxe 4729 Pack and Play Mattress Protector, Waterproof, 39" x 27

Where it shines

A waterproof membrane helps shield a Pack and Play or mini crib mattress from spills, while the quilted terry cotton top adds a soft surface beneath bedding. The PlushDeluxe protector is made with bamboo viscose and has a fitted-sheet style, so it covers the mattress rather than sitting loosely on top. Its quiet construction is designed to avoid the rustling often associated with mattress covers, making it a practical layer for a playard or mini crib used for a toddler.

Sized for 39" x 27" mattresses, it has a deep skirt that fits mattresses up to 8" deep. The breathable membrane is designed to allow air circulation while resisting fluids, combining mattress coverage with a soft, quilted feel.

Highlights

The fitted-sheet design pulls over the mattress, helping keep the protector snug during everyday use and making it straightforward to remove for washing. Its white color pairs easily with crib and playard bedding, while the quilted terry surface provides a comfortable fabric layer between the sleeper and the mattress protector. In a typical setup, it can go beneath a fitted sheet to add a protective barrier without adding a crinkly sound, the soft top is also described as suitable for use without an additional sheet.

Compared with a standard fitted sheet, this protector adds a water-resistant barrier intended to help guard the mattress against spills and soiling. Compared with a basic mattress cover, its quilted top and noiseless design put more emphasis on a soft, quiet sleep surface. Buyers often praise its softness, fit, and lack of rustling, though feedback on warmth and water resistance is mixed. These experiences are useful context alongside the stated waterproof construction and breathable membrane.

Care & maintenance

Machine wash the protector as needed to refresh it after routine use. Let it dry fully before placing it back on the mattress, and smooth the fitted skirt around the mattress edges so the cover sits evenly. Matching the 39" x 27" mattress size and checking that its depth is within the skirt’s stated fit range helps achieve a proper fit.

When it makes sense

This is a practical choice for families setting up a Pack and Play, playard, or mini crib with a 39" x 27" mattress who want a soft, quilted cover and a protective layer in one piece. The fitted-sheet style supports a tidy setup, while the washable construction makes routine care simple. Its quiet fabric is especially relevant in a room where rustling could be distracting. A solid pick if mattress coverage, a soft terry surface, and a fitted design are priorities for your toddler’s sleep space.
