Plano 150201 Protector Series Double Gun Case, Hard Shell with Foam Interior

At 15.00 x 51.50 x 4.00 inches, the Plano 150201 Protector Series case provides a defined storage space for long guns at home or in transit. Its black, hard-shell design has thick walls and a molded-in handle for carrying.

The interior uses high-density foam to cushion the contents, while heavy-duty latches keep the case closed. The case is lockable, adding a practical way to secure it with a compatible lock.

Its layout accommodates two non-scoped rifles or shotguns up to 50 inches long, or one scoped rifle or shotgun. That choice makes it useful when your storage needs vary between a pair of long guns and a single scoped setup.

Getting the most from it

Use the foam-lined interior to position a firearm inside the case before closing the latches, keeping the setup aligned for storage or transport. For example, it can hold two non-scoped long guns for a trip to a range, or a single scoped rifle when that is the setup you need to carry. The molded-in handle offers a straightforward way to lift and carry the case, and the lockable design provides an option for securing it.

The stated fit is for two non-scoped firearms up to 50 inches long, or one scoped firearm. Choosing the case around that configuration helps make practical use of its interior capacity without treating the two arrangements as interchangeable.

What you’ll notice day to day

The rigid shell, thick-wall construction, and high-density foam interior bring together structure and cushioning in one case. That combination is useful when a soft bag is not the format you want for storing or transporting long guns. A single compartment keeps the interior arrangement simple, while the wrap-style molded handle is integrated into the case for carrying.

Customers often praise the available capacity, practical size, and general functionality. Feedback on the latches and overall sturdiness is mixed: some appreciate the secure closure and solid feel, while others report a less sturdy impression. The case is made in the USA.
