Pidoko Kids PK9907B Wooden Building Blocks, 100-Piece Set with Shape Sorter

Some play sessions call for open-ended building, others benefit from a simple activity that invites sorting and matching. The Pidoko Kids PK9907B wooden block set supports both, pairing 100 colored and natural wood pieces with a storage bucket and a shape-sorter lid.

Children can stack, arrange, and sort the different shapes, creating their own structures and patterns along the way. The manufacturer recommends the set for ages 3 and up, it is not suitable for children under 3.

Getting the most from it

Use the blocks for free-form building, or make sorting the focus by matching pieces to the openings in the bucket lid. Children can explore stacking and balance as they build, then group pieces by color or shape to practice recognition and matching. The range of shapes also gives them room to make patterns and invent their own creations, supporting imaginative play and opportunities to develop hand-eye coordination.

For a practical play routine, set out a few blocks for a short building activity, then invite your child to sort the pieces back through the lid. The bucket gives the set a dedicated place between sessions, making it easier to keep the blocks together in a play area, classroom, or daycare. Its combination of building and sorting makes this a useful choice when you want one set to offer more than a single way to play.

The wooden pieces have curved edges, and the set is described as handcrafted from beechwood. Buyers often praise the colors, variety of shapes, and smooth feel of the blocks. Feedback on size and durability is mixed: some find the pieces well suited to little hands, while others say they are smaller than expected, reports about durability also vary, including mentions of chipped edges. These are buyer impressions, not a substitute for the manufacturer’s age guidance.

In the box

The set includes 100 wooden blocks and a storage bucket with a shape-sorter lid. The lid adds a matching activity using the same pieces, while the bucket provides a convenient place to put them away after play. It makes sense if you want both stacking and sorting activities in one wood block set, rather than a set focused only on building.

Is it worth it?

The main appeal is the variety of play in a compact set: children can build, sort, match, and make patterns, then store the pieces in the bucket. That makes the PK9907B a practical fit for families and early-learning spaces looking for reusable, hands-on play with wood blocks. With its shape-sorter lid and mix of colored and natural pieces, it suits children who are ready for supervised building and sorting activities from age 3 onward.
